THat is actualy a problem I am see with MMA right now... Back then it WAS MMA just that most of the fighters only knew one or two styles.. but it was still MMA. Nowadays my biggest concern is this... nearly 99% of the MMA "schools" only seem to teach Muay THai and BJJ, while good arts they are not the end all be all.. and I think that if this trend contiones over times your going to see too many fighters who just seem to be mirror images of each other and most of todays fighters are coming from amature wrestyling backgrounds... not saying these fighters are not any good but in essence if these 3 styles keep mixing and mixing.. it is no longer going to be MIXED Martial arts its just going to becomes its own style.. I think more variety is needed in these training gyms.. Just my two cents what do you all think?
