Background for Hughes-St Pierre II trash talk

Check this UFC 63 beind the scenes stuff. Shows the notoroius/famous St Pierre comment to Hughes about not being impressed by Hughes and alo the following apology.

Unbelievable that Hughes kept on talking about that insult in the pre fight talk in spite of the good apology by Georges.

Also note Hughes comment at the end about who he would prefer to be WW champion if happened to lost to someone someday

Fun trivia: In danish "kamp" means "match" or "fight". So Martin Kampmann really lives up to his name.

he was just accepting his apology, nothing wrong with that. He showed nothing but respect to everyone there, I dont understand what your getting at?

I always felt that there was a fair amount of respect between GSP and Hughes. This video seems to bolster that claim more than anything. Bring on GSP vs. Hughes 4!

uhhh

I dont know if you are talking about the "hype" videos where he mentions it again, but thats what they are, those videos are far from the truth and are used to sell fights... take it as a influence from WWE, as Dana said he has taken few business decisions from Vince.

wish they did more of this stuff, behind the scenes and whatnot.

This video clearly shows St Pierre apologizing to Hughes in a very graceful manner. I hadn't seen that before, only heard Rogan mentioning that it happened.

This apology happened at UFC 63 after the fights behind the scenes, so what I thought interesting was Hughes changing his mind to the build up for UFC 65. Suddenly he was offended again. But it might have been just unoriginal ype for the fight.

Anyway, I thought it was fun just to see that scene wich I doubt everbody has seen.

there is definately alot of respect there.

GSP himself has said the reason he lost the 1st fight was partly because he was in awe of Matt Hughes, the guy was one of his idols.

Hughes obviously knows what kind of special fighter GSP is and has stated it.

That was GSP making an attempt at hyping a fight. He admitted he is not very good at it. Its just not his style. He prefers to let his performance do the talking.

What? How come ppl say he doesnt trash talk?

All I hear when he is in feud with some one

First he kinda trashes them, then he says ''i'll let my fight talk for me''

You can see this in Prime time 2 vs hardy

Just to see Hughes get clowned on again?

On another, I think Hughes' little arrogant country swag he always shows is too hilarious.

He has that look that says ''You're like a piece of gum on the bottom of my shoes''

''You probably thought this was a bright idea, who hit the light switch? Hype shift, this is where it looks like the fight's fixed, tight fist, beat you with the hand that I write with, punchlines that remind Rodney King of the night sticks...''
