lol, how was Vera 'arrogant'?

All I've heard him say is that Jones has looked amazing, but that he's going to be his first real test. I can admit that Brandon has made a few comments about wanting to derail Jones, as well as his little 'second coming of Jesus' line, but I think Brandon is more upset about being written off than anything. And let's be honest.... considering he's the vet, very few people are giving him a chance in this fight. I myself am rooting for Vera, but choosing Jones to win, and I'm by no means a Vera fanboy. He seems a great deal more humble these days, so I just don't see the arrogance. Jones got in Vera's face. Not the other way around. Nothing wrong with that, but don't try and blame your opponent for your being a douche. Given what we've seen Jones do and say here and there, he's not the squeaky clean son of a preacher man who can do no evil that he some times pretends to be.

Jones doesn't come across as a very likeable guy to be honest. I for one are pulling for Vera in this fight.

Nerves. He's just nervous. This is easily his biggest fight and his most talented opponent. I think, know, Vera is extremely overrated but he does have real, technical Muay Thai and Greco skills. Vera is easily Jones toughest fight. I think Jones will end up winning a unanimous or split decision but I know that Vera is a viable threat for Jones. He knows it also and whatever happened is just nerves.

Vera is arrogant, you should see the stuff he said in the past, I havent listened to him recently so dont know if he changed or anything.

I hope Bones destroys Vera!

I am in the minority here but I don't consider Vera that much of a step up from Hamill. Sure he is a step up, but not much of a step up in my opinion. Go look at who Hamill and Vera has beat and tell me there is that much of a difference. Hamill basically beat Bisping too, not that that means that much. But Vera has few great wins, his best being Mir when his head wasn't right and his striking was weak...and that was how many years ago?

Sure Vera brings a different skillset, but I always considered Hamill to be a guy that I would never see thrown around. I always thought yea maybe he will never be a top talent but he is a super wrestler with amazing strength. JJ through him around in a shocking matter. So Vera to me is a step up, but not that big of one, and seeing how JJ just manhandled Hamill until being DQ'd you have to think he can do similar to Vera. Vera's Greco comes into play here but he is no where near as strong as Hamill.

Maybe Vera doesn't get finished, but he doesn't bring it either. His potential has ran dry, he has to to start finishing a fight or just stringing wins together to even be considered a good LHW in my book.
