I think you're discounting Sakara a bit there. Alessio is a beast and that punch was PERFECT.

Also what'd I say about Irvine's cheeks coming back to haunt his ass? MUAHAHAH

JDS vs. Gabe should have been the main event.

I dunno... hate to complain about a free card, or MMA in general... just feel a bit underwhelmed about the entire thing is all.

I'm going with the "If you order Extenze you would win a free dinner with Jimmy Johnson" commercial.

Btw, way to hire a guy named Jimmy Johnson to do commercials for "male enhancement" I actually laughed my ass off at that.

I think I'm just being picky, and my bad for that. But when guys like Kongo and Jones say, 'I plan on standing and banging,' and the first thing they do is shoot in for a takedown, you just kind of roll your eyes. I like ground battles... I truly do... but I think I maybe psyched myself into expecting some serious stand-up wars tonight, and now I feel cheated, lol. Most of us believed that Jones vs. Vera and Kongo vs. Buentello would be epic... and they really weren't. Just an anti-climactic event with far too much filler in my opinion, but I respect if others might disagree. JDS vs. Gabe was right on the money, mind you.

Never trust the fight hype, psycho. Same with Rogan's commentary.

It was on free TV, and we didn't see a judges decision, what more do you want?

JDS and Gonzaga stayed true to their words. Jones looked great, and paid back at least 2 illegal strikes. Other than that, I won't really remember much from this event. Kongo didn't really impress me, even though he had a different gameplan than usual. He didn't show anything that could threaten any of the top 5 heavyweights.

The Apocalypse. Hell in the Octagon. The end of days as we know it. You'd think with the fights listed, we'd have gotten just that. I'm just happy we have much more UFC coming up, because I don't think this event would have been enough to hold me for a month.
