UFC Live: Your Opinion Thus Far...?

A bit disappointed in the broadcast thus far, and not due to the actual fights. As I said in another thread, in the first forty minutes, we had three minutes of actual fighting. The rest was filler, commercials, and interviews... I mean, could they not at least air some of the undercard bouts? We watch because we're fans of MMA. If you haven't sold us on UFC 111 already, that last minute interview with GSP isn't going to do it. Most of us likely want to see some of that sweet sounding undercard action... instead, we get three minutes of fighting in forty minutes. Again, this has nothing to do with the actual fights, which I think are going to be immense now that we're heading into main event territory... but the broadcast in general has left much to be desired.

How's it coming off on Versus for you American fans? I'm watching on Sports Net, so it might not be as bad for you guys.

Well.. Two fights that were supposed to be awesome turned "meh" and were just awkward.

But it could turn around with this fight

Same way on Versus, over 70 minutes in and 2 fights seen. Of course the big ones are about to start, and hard to complain when they're free knowing they have to advertise. Although, it would have been nice to see some of those other fights.

well, half of it is a disappointment, JDS looked solid, I hope we see a Cain vs JDS for next title shot, and hopefully Bones vs Vera is as good as this last one.

Not going to complain. This card for free is worth it and the commercials will probably wind down coming up on the main event.

Too many annoying commercials, and one seriously disturbing one (guess which).

Not too bad, I think they should have put a couple fights on that went to the ground. The casual fan is might get really into this and order 111 only to see a lot of ground fighting. I love stand-up wars, but that's what every fight has been and UFC cards just don't have that very often.

Sakara? Shit son, that punch was gorgeous. He was puttin' the hurtin' on Irvine regardless. Real return to form for him, so excited about that.

Junior dos santos has some of the best standup in MMA. Cheick Kongo is a cheatin frenchman. Paul Buentello has balls of steel. James Irvin has awful luck.
