Good interview, Nice to see Ed Soares giving it back to Chael "douche" Sonnen a little bit.
Just makes we wish the Belfort vs Silva fight was still happening even though Vitor probably would have lost it would have been so much more exciting than the Maia fight will be imo.

He told it like it is on the Cheal Sonnen stuff. Chael is a great fighter but no one cares. However running his mouth does make me want to see him get hurt against Silva, whereas Maia is not a trash talker and I don't care about that fight at all.

I still dont get why they couldnt push Silva back a card or two to fight Sonnen. I mean they have been waiting for a number 1 contender to emerge for a while, and now that they have one they dont want to piss off their new friends in the UAE to change the fight?

Im not saying that Maia wouldnt beat Sonnen again if they fought right now (I think he would because Maia is a strong wrestler's kryptonite), I just think its a better matchup (sonnen v Silva). Silva has been given trouble by good wrestlers, and if anyone can get Silva to the ground and keep him down its Sonnen.
Plus:
-Maia just got flash KOed a few months ago
-Sonnen just dominated Okami and Marquart

I just dont see how Maia will get this fight to the ground, but we'll see.

That was a good interview with Ed Soares. It's funny because he was totally right about Chael, nobody cares what he has to say. It'll be funny to see him give him the "Chris Leben" treatment.
