Eddie's strecthing! If they know who Mirko is they will be cheering thier heads off! Besides, I think Mirko is used to the fact that fans will either cheer for him or boo him! As for the octagon, we'll have to see how he'll fight in it!

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

QFT. The real question is why do fans boo any of the fighters? I can think of maybe 2 fights where I might have booed if I was there, and that's only because the fighters weren't even fighting at all. That's the only reason to boo imo.

Back on topic, I'm gonna have to say Sanchez has a slim to none chance. Being confident is better than thinking "man I'm gonna get destroyed" I guess.

I'm predicting a repeat of the Yvel vs Goodridge fight at PRIDE 10 for this one. 16 seconds of circling and then 1 second of LHK and GnP and that's it for Eddie and all his confidence. Good luck in hospital, buddy!

Can you blame Eddie Sanchez for being confident? Its not like he should go into the ring like "Shit dude, this guy is gonna kick my ****ing head off".

Sure, but he should at least be realistic. He's saying that if he lands a right hand he feels conident he can KO CroCop. This is CroCop.

CroCop has been KO'd once in his career and that was by a former UFC heavyweight Champion at the peak of his career. Hell, I've never seen CroCop's hands drop since then.

How does Sanchez expect to land a right hand? In my opinion he'd be as well off as if he tried to put CroCop down with a takedown and pound on him. Either way you have to get through that left leg and unless you have a cinderblock for a head (like Mark Hunt) then you're done. Even hunt had a little bit of stagger when he got hit by that left leg in the head, if Sanchez eats one, nighty night Eddie. I just hope his cutman knows how to scrape brains off of a canvas.

I have no problem with Sanchez's confidence, but if he says he can beat CroCop and that he has an advantage in a ring that gives CroCop more room to move and strike then when he was in PRIDE then he should just lie down on the canvas right now.

Didn't Rampage say something to the effect of "This dude can knock me the f*ck out" at one point in his career?

If the fans at the show decide to boo CroCop then that's fine, but they'll be on their feet when he kicks Sanchez in the head. I think they actually booed Anderson Silva when he came out against Leben, but they were cheering for him at the end of the fight. This is what PRIDE guys can do.

I think its going to be a great fight. most fans at the show should be BIG mma fans so they will likely know crocop and likely cheer him on. Eveything loves those kicks to the head. I'm glad eddie is confident, he needs that to even be able to stand in the ring. Crocops reputation by now is just as dangerous mentally as his knock out power is physically. I can't wait to see boring-ass tim-the-longjabandnothingelse-sylvia go down.

on another note, wouldn't it be funny to see brandon vera fight crocop. probably should drop down to 205...

Agreed! If his fan base is bigger... it won't be after the fight

Kind of an oxymoron.

And by calling out "UFC nuthuggers", can you really name one guy on this forum that PICKED Sanchez to win this fight? Your post is very irrelevant, and full of flaws that I can't even count how many....
Crocop and Silva are what they are today because of fighting in the PRIDE ring. And saying they are UFC fighters no shit but I'm not technically speaking here. My point is PRIDE is a better organization skill wise in almost every weight class. So many people say they like UFC and dislike PRIDE for whatever reason, that is who the message is for. You jumping in attacking me with your "oxymoron" shit and critiquing me makes you look kinda like an ass bro

everyone sounds like CC is the saviour predicted by christ I dont think the crowd will boo and I dont think everyone is as ignorant as people think they are, as far as snachez winning I don't think its gonna happen but he does have a decent submission game besides UFC isn't gonna make CC's debut a tough one there gonna give him some one that he can demonstarte his striking capabilities
