by subjective i meant you havent seen diego and hughes go into a benchpress competition or anything similar. youre guessing based on the fights you've seen of each fighter. hughes should not be in the upper echelon of the 170lb class. he fights schlubs and people call him great. bj seperated a rib in the second fight, hughes was getting completely dominated untill then. no one's gonna win an argument over who the better fighter is, lets just agree to disagree and hope that a hughes/sanchez fight happens this year so we can see what the actual outcome would be. you know where my money is

Fights decide who's better, everybody's guessing. Words don't mean squat and it's a damn shame that we're not going to get a chance to see Hughes-Sanchez, if that's the case. Because that is THE FIGHT, at least to me it is.

PatrickSomers has a little shameless behaviour in the past
would be amazing match...i think hughes would win

personally i like to see diego fight someone of higher caliber than the people hes fought, i think he is an awesome fighter but i also think hes been spoon fed some easy opponents, with the exception of karo...maybe a kosscheck rematch so he can beat him up again...

hughes vs sanchez will happen this year and im pumped

Sanchez wouldn't be able to take Hughes at the moment. Though I would still love to see it..

Diego Sanchez has shown 2 things:1. great cardio...and the ability to go 3 rounds. 2.Ground and pound. He eeked a couple of decisions and got a lucky punch in on Riggs (which btw was not a huge deal, it was the KNEE that did it). When it comes to top of the food chain fighters, Diego is on a path to getting destroyed. I'm not a Hughes fan but i repect what he is/does. Maybe in the future Sanchez will be a great talent but for now i'm still not all that impressed. A Penn/Hughes/hell even Trigg loss is still better than a Sanchez victory, to watch.
