last time i checked, fedor just signed another three years with sakakibara so you dont have to worry about him leaving...although the UFC is revamping their stable and looking more and more promising, i think pride still has a lot of top notch world class fighters to be proud of...if anything, the age old argument of pride>ufc and vice versa has just gotten more blurry...which is good for both of them, IMO...

Yeah there's still heaps of great fighters in PRIDE anyway, I think it is good that SOME are moving to UFC because it opens up more opportunities in 2007 and later.

It's not just the fighters that make Pride enjoyable. If you don't consider the fighters, the tournaments and fights between guys from different weight classes give Pride an edge as far as structure goes.

Anyways, I'm not sure why there's all this UFC vs Pride talk. There's really not alot of MMA fights out there to watch so it's good we just don't have to rely on one organization's events for shows. I hope both organizations succeed.

Honestly I dont like the tourney format. I never had, I like that one big match-up. I suppose thats why I favor the UFC over Pride.

However that doesnt mean I wont watch pride whenever I can. However your right the winds of change are blowing. Is it really that big of a surprise?

I mean where do you think the money is? Its not secret that North America is all UFC. With a combined population of 305 million people (not including mexico) and well ALL the major networks and sports networks in the world sitting in the US. You can see where the money is. Once ESPN comes on board, and they will. Pride will be out gunned in the bidding arena.

Losing cro-cop and rampage I think was just a start. I can see Henderson coming soon. You have to think too if your a fighter, and your not Asian, your opportunities are most likely more viable for sponsorship here in North America. Every EAS, Xience (sp?), Weider, etc wants to have that north american "rocky" as their poster boy.

I like Pride, but in a few years I really do believe it will be the UFC that becomes the world MMA league.
