At first I thought it horrible to hear Randy was coming out of retirement, especially to fight Tim. But like someone's said, he's obviously seen a weakness he can exploit. I personally think if he gets inside Tim's reach and into the clinch, he can wear him down quite nicely for the explosive TD against the fence. Jeff Monson is a completely different fighter to Randy so any comparison is bollox. Randy's clinch work is excellent and he can really pressure people with it.

Wow, other than a couple of posters you guys are areally giving that much to Silvia? It's hard to compare the grappling tachnique between Couture and Monson. Couture is a better wrestler and Monson is a better submission guy. Randy has a better chance to take down Tim than Monson did. And the fact that he's taller than 5'9" means he can apply more pressure on the bottom. The way I see it is if Tim doesn't knock him out, Randy will pull off a decision.

I guess I will be the exception and say Randy will beat Tim for the title, reach or no reach.

couture is an amazing fighter and maybe would of had a chance in his prime (maybe), but there is no way he could come back and upset sylvia. if jeff monson couldn't take him down, randy couture sure isn't

Besides the fact that Randy is a better wrestler than Monson, he has better stand up and can set up his shots with strikes. That was something Monson didn't do. And because he's taller than Monson he can apply more pressure when he gets him down and give some ground and pound.

This is a lose lose fight, very bad idea.

If Tim knocks Randy out it will be ebbarressing for Randy, another legend who makes a come back and gets his butt kicked.

Or if Randy wins, shows how crapy Tim really is, then Tim looks bad. Randy has HW tital and fights Cro Cop. We all know Randy would lose vs Cro Cop, Randy gets knocked with a kick. Again a legend gets embarressed and looks bad.

If Randy as champ beats Cro Cop, haha. Dana looks bad for spending tons on money signing Cro Cop, Cro Cop the "furture" HW champ looks bad. Randy retires again leaving Tim and Cro Cop and Dana all looking bad.

Lose lose. Bad idea Dana. Bad idea

If Couture wins, I'll put money on him retireing and sending the title out into the ether. Then we can make way for an awesome hw tournement, which CC would win.
