UFC on ESPN?

I'm listening to my sirius satelitte radio and Chuck Liddell is on Scott Ferral's sports talk show. Ferral started talking to Jim Burns or Burntz, the UFC represenative that works with the media and also brought in Chuck. Ferral asked if the UFC where in the talks with Sirius too broadcast the fights on the radio. He responded saying they are re-lookin the satelitte radio industry and then said the UFC was in talks and has been working on getting their product "on that really big four-letter cable sports network". Scott Ferral called him on it said ESPN, Jim responded, "ummm...no comment" then laughed and said why are you interviewing me, the champs right there.

If this comes reality, which someday it will, how soon does everyone think it will happen. They could just be talking about showing results like they do in boxing, but either way, HUGE for the UFC, and another big blow to Pride FC as ESPN is worldwide.

I'd like to see ESPN just cover MMA on there Sportscenter type show. That would be pretty awesome. See them cover fights from around the world in all the different organizations.

If ESPN wants to increase their ratings, they should definately cover the UFC. It would be good for both companies.

Fav Fighters: Arlovski, Filipovic, Franklin, Hughes, Fedor

Future UFC Heavyweight Championship Bout: Cro Cop vs. Arlovski

i don't think the UFC should work a deal with espn, now that its beciming mainstream. espn has ignored the UFC until now, they probably even didn't think it would become popular. now that it is popular they want to work a deal?

btw- Ferall has got to be the best sports radio guy i've ever heard shakeituuup

In canada, TSN covered the last UFN (Diego - Riggs) for the first time ever. It was during the Sportcenter, and they cover a lot of the same stuff that gets cvovered on the ESPN sportcenter. It think they might start covering it really soon.
