Maybe because they are both ultra-talented wrestlers ant the match-up would be super-awesome?
But yeah - I'm not the biggest supporter of up&comer vs. up&comer too.

That interview was AMAZING! Get Davis on the main card ASAP, his banter with Rogan would be EPIC!

Its just strange, why the hell would the ufc set up jones/davis anyway when they are both up/comers? sort of like stealing from peter to feed paul
ftr...I didnt call you a troll...thats why I put in in parenthesis I thought your post was quite humbling.

I really like Davis and I'm gonna cheer for him no matter who he fights!

The guy has more charisma then most fighters and some real raw powerful skillset.

Too bad he beat my Swedish hero, but Gustafsson will get atleast one more shot in the UFC and I really think hes gonna win the next one!

Davis is meant for great things for sure!

I'm not quite so sure he'd be able to cut down to Chandella's weight.

Davis vs Jones would be a great fight but not right now, let them both have a couple more fights and if they both go through a couple of top 10-15 guys then maybe you are looking at a fight between them down the line, atm I think Jones gets winner of lil Nog vs griffin and Davis gets winner of Hamill vs Jardine

I hated this fight to be honest. I knew Phil would win because he's a beast, but look how much promise Gustaffson has. He works hard and actually manage to show some good TDD, which was questioned by some MMA experts. He's a destroyer on the feet and is a huge guy, hate to see him take a L, but he will be back hopefully against an easier guy.

This is too funny and I agree with you 100%. I also have noticed it for a while and have being trying to understand the reasoning behind it but I cant.

I guess regardless of skill level or relevance, they just want to see blacks go at each other

but anyway I wont mind seeing him in Chandella's guard

Phil Davis is so cool. Was supporting him when he made his UFC debut, and I'm liking him even more now. He still has a few holes in his game; he doesn't appear to have much stand-up, and his ground control could do with some work, but it seems like he understands that, and is working hard to improve. Definitely going to be cheering the guy on next time he fights; he's also getting added to my ever-growing signature.
