What Does Dana Do?

There was noise, a few years back, about Dana actually boxing Tito Ortiz. Probably best for both of them that never happened.

But right now, Dana is probably drunk and wishing he dared rip a piece out of Anderson Silva's ass.

So what does he do next week, after the hangover has worn off?

a) If there's a tracking system for who buys UFC PPVs, he can give all those people refunds. Likelier, give them Machida-Shogun or Lesnar-Carwin for free. Which is giving up a couple million dollars. I'm sure Dana will just love explaining that to Lorenzo Fertitta.

b) Really bite the bullet, and put on a free show with a couple championship fights. Again, it a couple million dollar hit, but the UFC can eat that now.

c) Strip Silva of his title. He'd leave the UFC if they did, but it's not unheard of. I rate this a on tenth of one percent possibliity.

d) Give Silva a bad-ass, and tell him he better make it look good or else. Something like Silva vs Junior de Santos. @heavyweight

e) Same as d) Only Silva vs Jon Fitch. @170.

I think Dana should strip Anderson of his title and have two other fighters fight for it. Than if Anderson wants it back he has to earn that shot. Anderson can't leave he is under an 8 fight contract and would end his career on the bench if he chose to leave. Anderson is bound to lose a pile of sponsorship money after this to and that will be his biggest punishment.

It would be a case of redemption for fighters who work hard and play by the rules if Anderson were stripped of the title.

It's very unlikely to happen, however. Anderson's already put on two crap-ola fights prior to this one, and Dana still had the gall to proclaim him and promote him as the greatest fighter in the world P4P.

As far as any speculation about "free" PPV's; I don't think that's going to happen either. Dana already has free fight nights in the works on Versus in the future, as well as numerous Fight Nights scheduled. He could easily upgrade the card on one or several of these upcoming shows as an "apology" for this stinker of a main event.

Don't expect any early Christmas presents from Dana. He's a lot more likely to try to prosecute a working class stiff for watching a stream than he is to refund $60 to half a million people. I mean, come on, this is reality!

Easy.... make him fight GSP. GSP will not hang out and run like Maia did for part of the fight, he can block/avoid much better than Maia, and his takedowns are at another level.

Silva would have to WORK IT, or get taken down and beaten to a pulp. And he may get taken down and beaten to a pulp even if he DOES work it. I think that seeing Andy get beaten up might make a few people feel pretty satisfied.

Defecato, ergo sum.

Really tho how hard would the road for anderson silva be back to the title? Like the system in place even if he was to strip silva, silva can easily beat anyone and use a poor performance to win. It would be a bad business approach if u were to create a bias system against ur best fighter.,,easy fix it put a guys who will fight anderson just like they did with forrest. TO make it up for the fans and give anderson a challenge GSP is the answer.

Speaking of which you should go read Dana's twitter where people were taunting him about stealing the fights. I can't even explain how epically stupid that probably was.

I don't think he will or should do anything, Dana if you don't like Anderson's performance then put someone in front of him that has a chance at beating him or at least threatening him. Don't strip him of his title that will proove nothing because whoever would win it wouldn't be champion in anyone's right mind since they didn't beat Silva. If Dana wants to shut him up then put someone in front of him who has the potential to.

I'm betting he makes Silva do one of two things

1.) Surrender his belt and move up in weight, permanently.

2.) Get an immediate title shot at 205, against his training partner and told "Make it a good fight or you're going to lose your belt and fight on the undercard for the rest of your contract. Want to leave? You'll end up paying us a MASSIVE settlement that will crush your income for the rest of your life."
