48 - 47 Edgar, I gave Penn the first two rounds, but on a second viewing could see Frankie taking those rounds too.

I had BJ winning 4-1. Gave Edgar the 5th.

Surprised with the crap decision.

Not a Penn fan, either.

Anderson Silva vs. Jon Jones is the best match-up the UFC has ever been able to arrange. Here's to hoping it goes down.

I had it 50-49 for Edgar. The first 4 rounds were so close they could go either way, so I rated them all 10-10. I know that's not how most people score, but it is fairer that way that giving the round to a random winner. A 50-45 score is absurd, nobody dominated the fight, and only one round had a clear winner.

Anyway, as the fight was so close, I any result would be good, a tough fight to score for the judges.

Wow, can anyone just respect the judges opinions. I had it 49-46 but 50-45 is conceivable. Frankie was fighting like a pro boxer moving in and out creating angles. He made the guy who is gonna clean the ww division look slow, weak, and akward. Frankie won, accept it.

Really.....asking BJ fans to get over a judges decision? Penn quit against GSP and some still say he's better.....

49-46 Edgar.

If I remember correctly, I had Edger winning 1, 3, 4, and 5 and BJ winning the second but in all honesty a lot of those rounds could have went either way. I think the only REAL decisive rounds were 4 and 5, taken by Edgar.

I'll be honest, the last thing I expected to hear on this forum was that this was a "crap decision." I mean REALLY people? This ******* fight was pretty close and could have went to either fighter. I really don't think you people were paying attention to the fight.

49-46, Edgar. Edgar was just the busier fighter. I'm actually being quite generous giving BJ 1 round. There had to be something wrong with BJ. He always looks to use his boxing and counter. But he just didn't seem to want to pull the trigger in this fight. Alot of credit goes to Edgar's movement, but alot also goes to the fact that BJ just didn't seem like BJ. BJ just seemed lethargic or hesitant. I'm not trying to discredit Edgar at all, he came to fight and he pretty much dominated the world's best lightweight, but BJ just seemed like he was unmotivated.

Maybe they just don't like Edgars style? That could be another reason. Granted, BJ is a more exciting fighter, so perhaps they just wanted BJ to win because they wanted the more exciting fighter to win? Regardless, this wasn't a screw-job...not even close. Not even in the top..I don't know, 200 fights the UFC has ever had.

Edit: I'm still kind of pissed Penn didn't even try for a takedown. I know Frankie was very active and moving around and he's a damn fine wrestler...but not even a TRY? C'mon BJ.

I totally agree with the speed and angles, but not the second part.

BJ countered almost ever shot with a power shot via left hook. Metrics have almost dead even strike totals, but BJ definitely landed the better shots. Speed was all Edgar, but BJ handed him everything right back and then some.

Almost every MMA analyst had BJ ahead. It is truly amazing how much commentary can change the perception of a fight.

While not my go to for support, I'd highly recommend grabbing this podcast and see what you think:
