Im relativly new to the MMA worrld, and used to love Tim. But when he has 2 fights he "fights" to NOT LOSE, he loses my respect.

If you fight in the UFC your paid TO FIGHT. Your not paid to not get hit, to sprawl and jab a little. Your paid to fight and make the fans (the people who help get you paid the money you do) happy. Tim hasnt done this in the last 2 fights, hell even Big John had to shout at him to fight. So he is gonna be hated

as for underserved, Anyone who wins the title by default like winning because you poked someone in the eye, or as in the earlier UFC because the contender couldnt fight on because of his last match is a bit crap. Or winning one fight and getting a title shot because you were a big shot in your previous organisation.

IMO you EARN the right to fight in THIS organistaion. But to attract fighters you have to make some off record promises i guess.

To be fare Josh Barnett did pass his drug test when they fought in the US at the Real Deal so you shouldnt say that he is still roided up.

While I'm not a big fan of the way Tim fights since he's become champ, and don't think you can say he doesn't deserve the title. Is he champion in a weak division? Sure. Has he bored the hell out of everyone since beating Andrei last time? Sure. But he's champion because he won the title, and you can't take that away from him.
To say Sherk doesn't deserve the title is just silly. The lightweight division was just starting again and Florian were good choices to fight for the belt. Jens had just been knocked out by a newbie, and B.J. was still a weltereight.
This is going back a long way, but I think the single most undeserving champ in UFC history has to be UFC 3 champion Steve Jennum, the "ninjitsu" guy who won the tournament with one fight against a gassed Harold Howard, after Shamrock, Gracie and Hackney all withdrew.
That was F'n ridiculous. But it was fun to watch Tank nearly pop his head off at UU 95.

I agree about Florian being a good opponent for Sherk. Fisher vs Stout was pretty much the first step, then Stout won that, and had to face Florian. Florian decimated him in about a minute, so the logical choice was to have Florian vs Sherk.

It is insane that people would think that Sherk does not deserve it, The guy has only been beat 2 times, and they were some unheard of guys, Matt Hueghes and GSP. To say that you have to work your way up is kind of stupid if you have proved your self in a heaver division. Then you would be a logical choice for a lower division.

As far as Tim goes the guy is boring to watch, I will agree but nobody has beaten him for a long time, so he is defanitly deserving. He is an inteligent fighter who has beaten the best that the UFC has. We will see what he has against Randy, and Mirko. Those 2 fights will say alot about Tim's talent.

So the guy who one the UFC 3 was pretty lucky I have seen the Gracie Kimo fight from that UFC but I do not know if I have ever seen the guy who one that fight.

sean sherk has the lw belt but he hasnt done much to get it.

hes showed he cant beat great fighters only good fighters which makes him a good fighter.

great fighters a belt holders not good fighters.

whoever wins the pulver/penn fight will demolish sherk and embarras him.

he fought kenny florian for 5 rounds to get his belt.

I dont consider sherk that deserving, every ufc champ has earned there belt 10X more than sherk has.

how many fights did he win to get his lw belt......like 1 fight

I will say that he had the easist time getting his title because the LWT division is pretty easy in the UFC compared to the rest of the UFC and the fact that the title was vacant make it much easier. The fact that he has not been able to defend his title since the florian fight really makes him look worse than he is.

I do not think that Jens or BJ would kill him, I also dont think that Jens will be able to do anything against BJ. BJ matches up to Sherk very well and it would be a great fight. Sherk has a much better work ethic than BJ and so I would give him the edge, unless BJ started training really hard and stopped making excuses.

I like Sherk and I am a little bias towards him, I cant wait for him to prove you wrong once his sholder gets better, give him time and he will prove that he is a great fighter. I think that if he fought BJ it would be one of the best fights ever.

if jens beats bj i think pulver ko's sherk in the first.

If he proves he was still at the level he was before then i say he destroys sherk.

sherks title wont last with bj and pulver fighting for a shot.

BJ will destroy Jens. BJ has gotten better, while Jens has been on a downward spiral(And I'm not just talking about the Lauzon fight).
