I think Diego Sanchez and Spencer Fischer are the two that DEF deserve their shots.

I think Melvin is behind Fischer as far as the title shot goes. Swick and Vera are pretty much right there as well.

My Top 5

(0. Fedor)
1. Cro Cop
2. GSP
3. Mauricio RuA
4. Quinton Jackson
5. BJ Penn

I think its funny how everyone thinks Melvin deserves a shot. Yeah, hes exciting and fun to watch but hes beat no one and if he gets a shot before Joe Stevenson that would be bullshit. They both came into the UFC at the same time off the second reality show. Stevenson won the show and Melvin did not. They both also have one loss in the UFC each. Both were to Josh Neer at WW. So theres nothing that puts Gulliard in anyway ahead of Joe.

Way to just shut down the entire Melvin Guillard pud sucking community.

Guillard's UFC wins - Marcus Davis, Rick Davis, Gabe Ruediger
Joe Stevenson's - Luke Cummo, Yves Edwards, Dokonjonosuke Mishima

Yeah, I'd say Guillard deserves it more..

Hell even Lauzon would deserve a shot over Melvin..

You're just a cook...

What does he need to prove? You do not see it in boxing, they have many differnat leagues and you dont have to prove your self in every one before fighting a champ in another one. And besides they are putting him in against Tomato Can anyway, so he will get his one fight. I really dought that he will be fighting in the UFC for very long anyway, we might as well give him the belt as soon as possible, so he can fight the best competion right away. I would like to see him fight Tim, AA and Randy with the rest of his fights, before he leaves to fight Fedor again.

Diego will have to wait at least 9 months for his title shot, but I think he needs to fight Matt Hueges or BJ before he gets a title shot, because until he beats one of those 2 he has not proven himself as the #1.

I think Franklin and hughes are due rematches if they want them. I always think the ex champ should get a rematch. Heavyweaight, well, nobody until Cro Cop get's in there, but Randy is an entertaining, if not deserving guy to get the shot. . Lightweight, well, the winner of Pulver Penn I guess would be a legit matchup.

I don't disagree with the Diego sentiment, he deserves it, but my vote goes to Mike Swick.
