How is it unfair to the fighter who won? Because he has to defend his belt? What is the difference to him, to whom he defends? Theoretically, wouldn't BJ be even a better option than guys like Florian, Maynard etc? He lost to Maynard, and hasn't fought Florian, but he just beat BJ. Do it again.

Anyway. Where does it stipulate that any time someone beats a champion they have to beat them a second time in an instant rematch otherwise, even if they clean out the division, they're just a "paper champ".

Go back to training smart guy, one day you'll be a UFC champion! lol
This is a special circumstance because

1. Many people felt BJ won
2. Legit or not, it has come out that BJ was not 100%

I may not be a UFC champion, but I'm an extremely competive person. If I feel like I'm the best at something, I'm going to do my best to prove that to everyone else. If you don't have that attitude, you will stuggle in any competive enviroment.

BJ must be the luckiest fighter on the planet. Who else get's an immediate title shot right after they lose?

Or maybe someone just doesn't want to fight the same guy twice in a row when fighting somebody else is more appealing. Especially Gray Maynard.

Man, BJ looked so much more fit and prepared for that fight. He didn't look nearly as good for the Frankie fight.

Thers no way BJ deserves the shot this soon. Let Kenny have a crack at Edgar first if anything and maybe even Maynard after that and THEN Penn can win it back with ease from any of them.

Regardless of how good we all know BJ is and why he performed the way he did, the fact is he LOST Edgar deserves his belt and if I were him i'd reject this fight on principle alone.
