Obviously I'm not in favor of an instant rematch. What is the rush? Is Penn going somewhere? Is the world ending? Let him have a tune-up fight with Griffen, Miller, Guida, Sotiropoulos or dos Anjos. Maybe 2 tune-up fights even. If everyone is so confident in Penn he will crush 2 of those guys and get his title back from whoever has the belt anyway. Let Edgar defend against Maynard and maybe even let Florian have his shot again.

Penn right now is in his prime as an athlete. He wants to waste no time getting that belt back, having one maybe two title defences and then making a run at welterweight. The clock is ticking.

I won't pay to watch him get an immediate rematch. I'm about as likely to pay for an immediate rematch as I am to pay to watch Anderson Silva fight Kalib Starnes...

Yeah, and we already saw what happened this past Saturday.

It's really embarrassing that he wants the belt back so badly when he's basically been spitting on it for as long as he's held it.

Kenny might win though and who really wants to see Kenny/Penn II. People want to see Frankie and BJ fight again since it was so close.

Dammit I hate "instant" rematches.

Also, I swear these fighters should hand in an envelope before they come to the ring (or something like that), listing any ailment they might have, rather than dropping some lame excuse "bombshell" after a loss, which can be referred to afterwards. Seriously.

I'm very glad about a rematch. Looking forward to it. I think the rematch will be much much different.
