The reason BJ Penn would be getting an instant rematch would be because the judges that night were on drugs. 50-45 for Edgar. Like was the judge even watching that fight? Hes clearly a Dancing with the stars fan, and loved Edgars moves. BJ won that fight 4 rounds to 1, but i could see them giving Edgar two rounds because round 3 imo was pretty close, and Edgar clearly won the last round.

This is the same thing that happened to Shogun, and hes getting an instant rematch to. I think the BJ Edgar fight was closer than the Shogun fight, but it was still a bad decision.

I hope both Shogun and BJ Penn win the rematches.

Yeah, but Serra wasn't GSP's next fight, was he? He had to go through Koscheck first, and that's not exactly a gimme fight.

That, and Serra was supposed to fight Hughes next, but was he was injured.

It's unfair because he just beat BJ. Why should he have to do it again? Why should BJ immediately get chance to regain his belt?

Whether BJ was 100 per cent or 50 per cent, it doesn't matter. He lost. Bottom line. If Peyton had the flu during the Super Bowl, should the Saints have to play the Colts again?

This instant rematch stuff reminds me of the weird matchmaking that went on in Pride. Maybe that's why some guys on here like it.
