But the best and even matchup from all would be GSP a weight class down. Or when GSP moves up of course!
but if this report holds true, that means all his defenses will be exactly like maia/leites/cote and as great a dancer silva is i'd much rather see him fight.

LHW does have some great fight's for Silva. he may be the favorite against them all but the fights are definitely more interesting than whatevers left at MW.

Shogun - Outside of machida shogun's striking style would pose the biggest problems to silva. it'd be a technical showcase. i'd favor silva in the standup but shogun is very unpredictable with takedowns.

Rampage - while rampage isn't very versatile and is exceptionally vulnerable to kicks he does have great timing and KO power. even when rampage is hurt he's still dangerous. rampage hasn't used his wrestling much lately but it'd be very effective against silva. if silva tried any sub attempts page would just power out.

Rashad - forget about the machida loss, rashad is going to fight smart from now on. he executed the perfect gameplan to beat thiago and could very well do the same against anderson. i'd at least give rashad the first round, then he'd tire and silva would get the tko.

Jones/Bader/Davis - these are the 3 prospects to look out for at LHW Jones seems to be more complete than the other 2 right now, but within a year one of these men could be an interesting match for anderson.

<--- the punch that started it all!

My current favirote fighters
Anderson Silva
Junior Dos Santos
Mauricio Rua
Alistair Overeem
Jon Jones

WAR dan hardy, paul daley, ross pearson and terry etim doing it for the britz!

Shogun is a great fight, even though I don't see it happen any time soon!

Rampage won't use his Wrestling against Silva. He would strike with him and Anderson would end this pretty easily, like he did against Forrest. Just another planet of Striking! Rampage looks for bombs all day long.. wich would be his downfall! 1 Round KO not competitive.

Rashad would make a little bit sense. If he really sticks to the gameplan, he could maybe grind out 1 Round. His Gnp is among zero and Silvas BJJ is superior! So even if he lay and prays for 1 round.. I still don't see this being competitve at all!

Jones is way too young and green for a guy like Silva. And Dana would never throw his golden boy in there with the best. Maybe in 2, 3 years if Silva is still fighting. But if they would fight now, I give him the second best chance!

Davis however is pretty dangerous, but still a noname in MMA. He could win this fight via decision. But why would he fight Anderson so early in his career?? Won't happen either. But this is the third most challenging fight for Andy.

LHW definitely has the best fights for Silva, but since he wont fight Machida I dont really like the idea of Silva moving up to clear out the contenders to Machida's crown (assuming Machida will win the shogun rematch). Kos and Fitch not fighting doesnt bother me because neither of them have the belt, and if one of them did I guarantee they would fight for the title.

I dont really pay much attention to business side of the UFC, so can someone explain why the UFC is so adamant about keeping its fighters from fighting in other promotions? I dont really believe thats the reason he didnt finish Maia or Cote or Lietes, but I dont want guys like fedor and silva not fighting in the UFC because they want to do other things as well. RJJ vs Silva would be ****ing awesome btw.

The way Roy Jones looked 2 weeks ago probably means he won't fight again. Anderson missed out for sure.

It's simple...if you have a fighter of that caliber placate em. There's always exceptions to the rule. You can't ever hold a man down. He's obviously not entirely happy especially with Dana White bashing him publicly even when he's winning. Imagine you're a fighter, not only do you have to feed your family, worry about not losing, stressing over the legacy, etc...etc.

I want to make a note here too. Anderson Silva did a HUGE favour to fight a LHW in short notice against Irvin to counter Affliction. Who knows whether or not Dana has reciprocated the favour back. Dana should have had a talk with Anderson Silva before making those harsh statements. He basically drove a wedge. You can tell everybody isn't happy; Demian, Ed Soares, Andy, Dana, the fans, etc.

I for one don't agree with all the antics, but there's more than meets the eye. Don't want to get into this debate again. Talk to Andy and see what's up...more money, better opponents, fighting RJJ, whatever it is make a compromise...

Sorry, but as much skill as AS has, MMA was here before him, and will be here after him. I truly don't beleive that AS is even that huge of a draw for fans, although it may be the case now, as people would be curious as to what craziness he'll get up to in the next fight.

I just think that AS has to realize he is a champion, and maybe should start acting like one, or else his legacy will be that of a great fighter, but an asshole of a person, and I don't think that is what someone would want at the end of the day.

Good point, but I think there may be some internal issues that needs to be dealt with. Who knows...my thinking is they (UFC) should get to the bottom of the situation. I don't want to be robbed of seeing one of the greatest fighter of this generation next to Fedor, GSP, BJ, Lyoto put in this type of situation. There's a lot of variables though.

Man...RJJ has been slipping

RJJ vs Danny Green...

I def think there's some inside drama going into this. Too bad it had to spill out into the open like this though. I hate AS, but have oodles of respect for his skills and talents, so I do hope he finishes off his career on a high note.
