A questions about UFC contracts

I heard Loiuseau's contract was "cancelled". Can the UFC just drop a contract like that or was it finished and just "not renewed". Can they just drop guys like that? If so, how is it a " contract"? Perhaps they have something written into these contracts where if a fighter looses a certain number of fights the contract can be opted out......

any thoughts ?

Contracts can contain any number of 'out' clauses, to the benefit of UFC and the Fighter.

The fighter can include clauses as well.
Maybe "The Crow" exercised his out clause so he can go win a championship on that new show?

Fighters are usually signed for a certain number of fights. For example Randy Couture just signed a 4 fight deal. This means at the end of the deal they can either sign the fighter for more fights or decide to part ways. Im guessing instead of cancelling in the middle of "the crows" contract, his fight contract probably ran out and they decided not to renew it.

I read somewhere "the Crow" is returning to other forms of martial arts competition, not just MMA.As I understand it he was a demon on the TKD scene, and I always thought he could do very well in straight stand up only.Shame to see him leave the ufc though,he has some of the nastiest elbow strikes ever!lol

Usually fighters sign a certain amount of fights per year deal, like Couture (4 fights- 2 years).
