First off, the only way I see Randy beating Tim is by leg lock. It is very difficult to ground and pound or submit Tim by arm bar or kimura b/c he is sooo long. Most guys have a hard time trying to reach his head with punches when Tim is on his back. The most effective way of beating that I have seen was when Arlovski grabbed Tim's leg and submitted him. So Randy has to use Tim's long legs to get the submission IMO.

If Randy is able to succeed, and has to fight Mirko I only see him winning one way. I have watched about 9 or so fights of Mirko on YouTube and have noticed that his ground game mostly consists of him lying on his back and trying "tie up" so the referee will stand them up again. So IMO Mirko's ground game is his weakness. In the Fedor vs Mirko fight, Fedor was smart and used Mirko's weak ground game against him by continually taking him down, keeping his immense body weight on top of him, and using GNP. This is the only way I can see Randy getting the W(mimicing Fedor's gameplan).

Cro Cop is just as good a striker as Lidell, and has the most brutal high kicks in mma. Assuming Randy can take the fight to the ground, it's his. Either way lets just hope that Sylvia isn't the hw champ after 68.

Randy wins by pinning CC to the cage, putting him in his clinch and trying to dirty box along with pinning him to the ground...

Problem is though that I dont see him doing it consistently for 5 rounds, especially at his age...CC will get his shots in, and they will accumulate...as well, on the ground, CC doesnt get rocked too badly, he wont absorb much damage from the ground plus his sprawl is really improved...

in the match, i'd say 90 percent CC, 10 Couture...

I agree with Jaw. Crocop also creates distance when the clinch is brought into play. He's beat Sylvia and Couture IMO

I say Cro Cop mainly becuase hes a beast and hes much younger. I would hate to say it but Couture age will be the down fall in this fight if it happens.

Hmmm how would Couture do in his prime against Crop COP?

Cro Cop would kill Randy Couture. Even if Randy is in great shape and at the top of his game and manages to eventually take Cro Cop down (a big if), the UFC rules would actually give Cro Cop an advantage. Assuming it's a title match, that means 5 5-minute rounds. Every round restarts on their feet, which is big advantage Mirko. I just don't see "The Natural" being able to withstand Mirko's power. I think Randy is smart and he would defend the high-kick. Mirko is smart and would stay away from the body-kick since it would be an opportunity for Randy to catch the leg and take him down. I see 3 - 4 rounds of brutal leg-kicks by Cro Cop. By the 3rd or 4th round Randy will not be able to stand anymore much like Yoshida in his fight with Cro Cop. People that haven't seen Cro Cop before just don't understand how ridiculously hard he kicks (his punches are pretty hard too). I see Randy with a HUGE purple bruise on his leg.

Cro-Cop/Couture? Hmmm, i wonder how that would go...

Concidering he made Coleman's takedown attempts look like a 3 year old trying to hug a wooly mammoth... and the fact that Couture is 75 years old and has never had a 146 MPH high kick flying at his skull...

gee, i just don't know...

CroCop did make Coleman and Randleman look like idiots, and I don't really think that Couture is on a much higher level than Coleman or Randleman.

I think age will have slowed Couture down alot and if he shoots I can see his face looking a little bit like Sakuraba's after he got nailed in the face.

It won't be pretty.
