Chuck and Tim are two champions that would argue that there are ways to avoid leaving it up to the judges and how they score take-downs.
I like Diaz a lot, but he has started thinking he is a stand up king and stopped working for his own grappling points. If he does not want to play the Counter-Punch and sprawl game like Chuck/Tim then he should devote the second period to showing he can dominate the ground (if he can) to score some points. Then, he could fancy pants pose&taunt&punch like he likes to do in the first and 3rd and get the decision himself.
