I get bored and have thought about this, I've been thinking of how to use a PS2 controller for a UFC/Pride game. Here it is:
X - Left Kick/Grapple
O - Right Kick/Grapple
Triangle - Right Punch/Grapple
Square - Left Punch/Grapple
L1 - Hold to Block with correct srtike/grapple
L2 - Hold to Reverse with correct strike/grapple
L3(Analog Stick) - Move Fighter
R1 - Hold to Strike
R2 - Hold to Grapple
R3(Analog Stick) - Taunt
Each button is customizable, for example:
X=Left Kick, it could be a high left kick, mid left kick, low left kick, round house kick, feint kick, high knee, mid knee,etc.
Square=Left Punch, it could be a jab, hook, uppercut, haymaker, elbow, spinning back fist, etc.
To block, if your opponent throws a Left punch, you must hold the block button and hit your left punch, it's about timing. Same goes for reserves, hold the reverse button and hit the right button.
Taunting could be done at anytime.
To grapple, again each button is a different grapple move, one will most likely be a default type clich for standing but on the ground will change depending on fighter and your customization. Example:
All depends on what your fighter has custom. Maybe a button for slamming, will KO opponents depending on toughness, health, or stamina.
Just some ideas for a fighting game, I think they should hire me. Feel free to discuss. Is there something I'm missing? Should something be added?
