Ryoto Machida vs. Rich Franklin 2 in the near future?

Machida was the first person to give Rich Franklin a loss! If Rich beats Macdonald and Ryoto beats Hoger, will we get to see Ace trying to avenge his first loss before going after Silva?

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

It is possible, but only if Rich wants it. He was mentally crushed after being exposed by Anderson, so I don't see him going for a risky fight again until he has two good tune ups and he builds his confidence back up. Lyoto is dangerous, and I don't think Ace would jump in to fight him his second fight back.

I dont think Rich would ever want to fight him again. Plus, he'd have to go back up to LHW which I dont see him doing.

It wasn't even a close fight. Lyoto had Rich's number right at the beginning, and pushed a pace Ace couldn't take. He'd more than likely would never face Lyoto again. I like Rich, but he just can't handle aggressive strikers. Once someone besides himself pushes the pace, then he's mentally out of the game.

I think they are going to line up some "soft" opponents for Franklin en-route to giving him a rematch with Silva, supposing he wants one.

Hopefully J-Mac puts a stop to that right quick.

Rich Franklin and Machida would be a really good matchup as I dont think the first fight was Rich at 100% plus Machida was much heavier. Apparently Rich only took the fight because he needed money really bad after quitting his job.

I dont see Rich moving up to 205, and I think after he beats Jason "the TUF killah" McDonald he is going to get his rematch with Silva.
