Will the UFC be "the" MMA organization?

sure a lot of companies are now trying to capitalize on MMA (Bodogfight and Showtime), but with some of the cream of PRIDE's crop making or possibly making the move to the UFC, is the UFC going to be "the" MMA organization?

PRIDE is in trouble, no matter what they say, and even though their fighters are the best, the always just fight each other. at least the UFC finds people and tosses them to the wolves. So with all the huge popularity of the UFC and all the potential growth they have, what about it?

whiskey, racism, money, grease, twinkie's, guns.....yep lol thats about it

Yes!

The UFC is kicking all kinds of ass right now. They have had several good pay-per-views in a row and they are buying some very good talent.

By the end of 2007 all of their weight classes might be like the 170s, with the majority of the top fighters at that weight in the UFC.

They have a shot of course, but there not there yet. Of course,I assume your talking "the MMA" in the world not the States...but they have a shot if they keep building off of what they've done the past 2 years.

Buying more of PRIDE Stars and keeping some 2nd tier fighters in house and happy should be there goals.

that's just silly.. pride has been the top dog for forever, look outside America...

pride is more international and ufc is just national (although they have plans to go to canada, etc etc) which is good. i see ufc being top dog in maybe 2 years, [B]if[B] pride goes under..

Getting the gears in motion for the Tomaz Drawl Bandwagon!

Gotta tell you man the UFC is destroying PRIDE in PPV numbers and has secured multiple TV contracts. Spike,HBO, VS network. Pride has replays on FSN. They couldn't even secure a TV contract in their own country. The only thing that PRIDE beats the UFC in is revenue at the gate. And thats because PRIDE has most of their shows in that huge dome in Japan. PRIDE has lost some talent to the UFC recently and expect that trend to continue. Apparently Gomi may be coming over, and i also wouldn't be surprised to see Wand especially if he loses the LHW matchup to Henderson.

The UFC as far as im concerned has taken over North America and will shortly take reigns in europe, I think the asian market will be the last one, but once UFC has taken there talent (W. Silva and F.Emelianenko are names that scream at me) it is going to be the only MMA organization even worth talking about!
