UFC Fight Night 9 - Rumored and Confirmed Fights

Source
UFC Fight Night 9 - April 5, 2007 on Spike at 8:00 PM est
- Kenny Florian vs. Dokonjonosuke Mishima
- Luke Cummo vs. Josh Haynes
- Wilson Gouveia vs. Hector Ramirez
- Josh Koscheck vs. TBA
- Kendal Grove vs. TBA

I hope Mishima learned something from last fight. I don't wanna see KenFlo beat anyone.

Cummo should beat Haynes but that is gonna be a bloody war.

I wish Hector was still fighting Petruzelli, Gouveia just doesn't interest me too much.

Wonder who they'll give to Kos and Grove?

I have a feeling Luke will KO Haynes, the past few Cummo fights he's faced guys that want to get him on the ground, Haynes will most likely want to stand up and his stretch armstrong ass is going to get clipped.

I can't see "KenFlo" pulling out a win over Mishima, I'm not taking anything away from Joe Stevenson...but that was just an embaressing loss, can't see him losing 2 in a row, I can see him submiting Florian quite early in this bout.

I despise Grove so hopefully they keep feeding him cans until he fights an opponent worthy of taking him down and beating his lanky ass and sending him away once and for all...him and his unfair height advantage towards middleweight fighters.

Koscheck on the card keeps my interest as well, he's had some exciting fights and has well exceeded to a MMA fighter rather than pure wrestler...this has been shown ever since his fight with Leben. He has the tools to become a great fighter.

You're just a cook...

Do you really not like him or are you just making fun of me? Or both?

His unfair height advantage? How is that unfair? They fight in weight classes not height classes. He loses so much strength to the other MW being that tall, he is built like a bean pole. That is the MOST RETARTED comment ever. Unfair advantage my ass. Just like Sean Sherk has an unfair advantage because he has no neck. And what's really unfair is when your fighting Wandy and if your lucky enough to get his back. His tattoo on the back of his head will scare you away. Totally unfair....

Unfair height advantage? Lol, ooookay. What the **** is he supposed to do? The guy doesn't have any meat on his bones, he wouldn't be fighting at 205.

Now, with Florian being a BJJ black belt and Stevenson..not, what makes you think Florian couldn't submit Mishima easier than Stevenson did? Sure, it was an embarassing loss and it could've happened to anyone, but it happened and it could happen again. I'm pulling for Florian, I like him.

I hate when people say Grove is too tall. He makes weight get over it!! I'm curious to see who Kos will be fighting. Since it isnt at a ppv it will probably be some b-level fighter that he will slam around.

3.Fedor
4.Kos

Guys I'm pretty sure Alex was making fun of me for making that thread a while back. I said it was unfair cuz of the way he struggles to cut down to 185. He has a greuling weight loss workout that he does before he even starts training. If he would drop the weight loss workout, he would EASILY make weight in the 205 lb division. I'm saying it's unfair cuz it's not like he can't fight in the 205 division, it's cuz he's obviously afraid to. But that's not to say he's the only one to do it, he just goes through A LOT of work to get down to 185, and I doubt he weighs 185 when he actually fights. Do you realize how crazy it is to have a guy who is 6'6" and only weighs 185 and fights? That's really hard to do, and I know that because I've seen his weight loss regiment. But yea he was just making fun of me for making that thread ease up.

lol I was just letting you all know. If you wanna talk about that subject the thread is still buried down somewhere just search "Grove, unfair". But let's talk about UFN9 it looks to be decent thus far. Depending on who Grove faces will make or break my opinion about him. I need to see him fight someone with enough skills required to challenge a TUF winner.
