Sorry for the inconvenience/disappointment. I hope you can recover from this and go on to live a long, happy, successful life. I, as well as many others, thought it was great. But to each their own.
Same here, man! The beginning as well as when he sunk in the sub were great. It really is a cool story of the illness Brock came back from. And the fight with Shane Carwin seemed to represent those events perfectly. Overcoming adversity. Not giving up. Brock seemed like he was down and out, and people were ready to write him off. But he hung in there, kept fighting was able to pull off the victory.
IMO it really is inspirational and people take it for granted like it was nothing. And I'm talking about the overall picture that Brock was able to come back and fight again for the UFC. Not to mention the actual fight itself...
Had he not come back it would have been a shame. So much wasted potential. Glad we have him back. Stacked HW division for sure.
NOOOOO NOOO NOO!!!!! I can see it. I really can. But it hurts my brain so much to have Brock look like Rocky in any sort of way!
WHHYYYY!!!!!!!!:sad02:
Good video though on a side note. +rep. Pretty funny. Just I do not want to think of Brock making a movie like Rocky with him as a star after this fight...
Nice one.
I think Brock deserves huge credit and recognition for this fight.
He trully was "Rocky" this time arround.
ANd BTW...i like this pic of him:
Yes, I agree a bit. On the surface it does look pretty bad, and I've gone back and forth in my mind on whether the fight should've been stopped. But now I'm starting to agree with the "too many premature stoppages" argument. Cain/Benrothwell is a great example. Terrible, TERRIBLE stoppage by Mazzagati. And while this does look(key word) worse then that fight, after rewatching probably almost 1000 times, I think the only time the fight could've only been called(and it would've been a good stoppage) was a little bit after Carwin dropped the elbow. Brock blocked his face and Carwin was swinging away at his forearms. If Brock would've stayed in that position, it would of have to been stopped. But right as it's about to reach that point, Brock hits back at Carwin, and shoves him away with his leg.
Any other time besides that one would've been a bad stoppage. I agree with something somebody said on here(sorry I don't remember who it was): You only stop a fight when someone is KO'd, or is not(or cannot) defending himself. You don't stop a fight because somebody is taking some punches(not nearly that many punches landed anyway. Not nearly as many as Carwin was dishing out, certaintly.) Brock was taking punches but he was still IN the fight and he was defending himself and letting the ref. know he was not out.
And people might not like to see someone take a beating but some fighters are tougher than others and can take more punishment while still being in the fight. That was the case Saturday.
