Looking Back: Harold Howard vs. Steve Jennum

I thought this fight was really fun to watch, especially because of the circmstances surrounding the fight. Jennum came in as a very last minute replacement for Royce Gracie, who's towel threw in the corner before the fight was about to start. Jennum was the biggest underdog of the night and I'm sure everyone thought Howard was gonna beat him, but Jennum fought through a tight guillotine, got the top position and full mount and pounded Howard into tapping.

Another favorite old fight. I recommend this tape to anyone that doesn't have it, the old collection of UFC tapes are awesome to watch once in a while.

That was a great fight. I've always felt that Jenum was underated. He was one of the better and more skilled fighters of the very early UFC. In fact, with the exception of Royce Gracie, Jenum was the first guy to win a fight by arm bar. He was also a very likeable guy.

Yes, I've always love it when the underdog wins, everyone looked at Jenum and thought Howard was going to crush him but Jenum had a different idea.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?

Jennum vs Howard is a fun minute & a half fight, but it had the unlucky task of being on the same card as Kimo vs Royce.
