Hughes vs. Lytle is confirmed!

The UFC has finally acknowledged that Matt Hughes will face Chris Lytle at UFC 68.

UFC® : Ultimate Fighting Championship®

What is my opinion on this matter?

I was hoping against hope that this fight was a rumor but know I know I was just kidding my self. Some of you will say that Lytle stands a strikers chance but lets get serious. This match won't last three minutes. Lytle couldn't even handle Matt Serra and he got dominated by Joe Riggs. If he got dominated by Riggs, Matt Hughes will murder him. At least that's how I see it. What are your thoughts?

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

hughes by w/e he wants after he slams lytle to the matt.

My predictoin is hughes will want to a make a big comeback with a brutal knockout victory.

so i say hughes by tko round 1 about 3 minutes in, probably from the crucifix position or from the backmount.

Only problem is this isn't a fight!

The UFC better be very careful. While right now most spikeTV viewers don't know that Lytle is maybe 1/5th the fighter Hughes is, this kind of thing will change. This is like setting up an NFL playoff game between the Colts and the Raiders. No one is going to watch that shit, especially if they have to pay $8 for it (I'm assuming that would be this fights "share" of the PPV).

Hopefully when TUF viewers get educated on who the fighters really are this will die down.

Hugh's has training partners who give him a better work out then lyttle will give him with a match.

I know some people will want to believe that it's possible Lyttle can do something spectacular to make this match interesting. The truth is he can't.

Hugh's has beaten a legend in Gracie. He has beaten the LW Champion Sean Sherk. He has submitted the current WW champion GSP by armbar.
He is the number 1 contender.

Lyttle lost his last match by foot stomp.

Hugh's has nothing to gain by beating Lyttle.

Lyttle has nothing to gain by taking a beating from Hugh's.

This should be a good match.
