When I first saw this thread my natural patriotism surfaced and I thought obvious the UK! But the more I think about it the less and less likely that seems. I believe john Hathaway is the best any of these countries have to offer currently but do I see him beating GSP, Fitch or Kos? Not really. I'd give him a chance but he'd be a massive underdog every time. On the other hand George Sotorpopolous has a real shot at LW imo. So I'm gonna have to say those damn Aussies again!! Look forward to the race though!

Why are so many people so sold on Snufalufagus? Lets be serious BJ is gonna have that belt back soon and Soto is screwed. He has good boxing BJ has great boxing, he has great grappling but BJ has the best grappling in the division. What exactly is he gonna do?

Push BJ in every area which basically no one else can and hope he either makes a mistake that he can capitalize on or gasses out. I agree with you for the most part on the breakdown. Soti might actually have better MMA BJJ than BJ though not by much but he is the only guy I think BJ wouldn't be able to dominate in any area.

He might have a much better chance moving up to Welterweight, with GSP maybe retiring early. But if I'm ranking international fighters by chances of winning a title I would go

1. Dong Hyun Kim (South Korea)
2. Yushin Okami (Japan)
3. John Hathaway (England)
4. Yoshihiro Akiyama (Japan)
5. Michael Bisping (England)
6. Cyrille Diabate (France)
7. Takanori Gomi (Japan)
8. George Sotiropolis (Australia)
9. Alexander Gustafsson (Sweden)
10. Dan Hardy (England)
11. Mark Munoz (Japan)
12. Mirko Cro-Cop (Croatia)
13. Ross Pearson (England)
14. James Wilks (England)
15. Stefan Struve (Netherlands)
16. Vladimir Matyushenko (Belarus)
17. Cheick Kongo (France)
18. Demarques Johnson (England)
19. Gilbert Yvel
20. James McSweeney (England)
(99.) Tito Ortiz (Pluto) :)
