Hmmmmm thats a tuffy .......What about Japan?
Sakuraba was UFC champ technically.

I'm going with England here. There aren't too many Australians in the UFC who are championship material. I don't see Soti past BJ. If he somehow gets a title shot and Edgar is still champ it could happen, but I don't see it. Now there are a lot more Englishmen in the UFC. If GSP decides to move to MW or retire I think both Hardy and Hathaway have a shot, but ultimately it would either be Fitch, Koscheck or Shields.

I don't think Siver will ever be champ, but if so it would count for both Germany and Russia. :thumb02:

I chose England. Not because I believe that they have some "WoW OMGWTFBBQ" fighter lined up, but rather, because Dana literally builds up fighters from other places as if they were juggernauts to break into their market.

Right now it's all about the English dudes. He'll keep giving some of them title shots and sooner or later one will hit pay dirt.

Also, Arlovski is announced as being a Bela-Russian. So.. take that as you will.

That's so true man, it's probably going to be England. I would love to see UFC go to Russia so they can pick up some talent from there.

Japan has also a good chance.

It's really a matter of Sotiropolous vs. Hathaway, Hardy, and Bisping; a race.

Of the three I listed, atm I'd say Sotiropolouls is closest to a title shot but...

I voted England; with soo many Brits, comparitively, the probability just seems to be in their favour.

Exactly.

Like, trying to jump 15 meters instead of 16.

... or trying to tackle a buffalo instead of an elephant.

... or Wandy making sense every 13th word instead of every 14th

... or our current prime minister being a complete and utter c*unt, instead of a complete and utter motherfucking c*unt.

innit?
Legend.

Out of these 3, probably the UK.
DW is trying really hard to promote the UFC in the UK and having a british champion, would do his cause a ton of good. That's why he gave Hardy a shot at GSP, when many said he wasn't worthy. And Daley was 1 win away from the shot also, after only 2 fights in the UFC. Now, the next ones in line are Bisping (who is treated like a crystal sculpture if you ask me) and Pearson. Hathaway is the best prospect coming out of he UK but he is too young still.
Australia has only Soti and 155 is a tough division.
Russia needs fighters in the UFC first, then we can talk about titles.

But in the next 3 years at least, none of these coutries will have a UFC champion imo.

aussies also have kyle noke but he is only 1-0 in the ufc, and also this poll means even if the 1st champ of these nations is in 50 years because we probably wont have a champ thats not from the americas anytime soon. soti is an outside chance

I would say most likely England, they have some real legitimate up and comers like Hathaway who I am big on and to a lesser extent pearson who I think can make waves in the future. If these guys who can legitimately fight can take over as the faces of mma in the UK and get half the undeserving hype that Bisping and Hardy have managed they will have a very legitimate chance of wearing a belt.

with the current bunch of fighters i'd have to say the aussies have the best chance with gerorge, i'd like to say on pure numbers england will have a shot sooner or later, but on a whole I think the englishmen have to step up their wrestling

Russia was THE country that ran the Soviet Union, and pretty much had conquered those countries. Russia itself is in Europe, most of the soviet union was throughout Aisa. Personally, I would think a Russian fighter would be soemone from Russia itself, not a former soviet country or east block area.

Still, I'm going with Russia and Germany on this, but think it will probably be a Russian fighter next.

And for fun:

Dana White, inspired by the WWE-style promos the UFC now uses, and the circus fights of Kimbo and Toney; decides to create a European Belt. "Well, S*** f'ing Bisping Needs an F'ing Belt."

Bisping gets hyped and gets a 'can' who happens to be Russian who knocks Bisping oput. Dana then claims Russia is not in Europe and the title defaults to Bisping until Rogan shows Dana a map or globe. Couture slips up behind Dana and knocks him out with a chairshot while yelling "where's my contract now shorty?"

Bisping runs into the octagon crying and yelling: "Did the scary man hurt you, daddy?" then holds Dana's hand.
