Hey if serra could land a KO punch on St Pierre the best wrestler in the business...its alil too soon to count toney out i for one think his trash talk is bad but no where near sonnen , you guys are overlooking one key fact Toney can take a BEATING , Randy CANT look at the Liddel fights , When you get older your ability to take even glancing punches is drastically lowered , hes what 45 all his recent fights werent even fights , that Hammer Colemen was the WORST MMA BOUT to date.. UFC is putting way too many eggs in there basket to soon , to make this a MMA vs BOXING is the worst thing the organization can do! What if Toney gets that one punch he needs the ufc has MUCH MUCH more too loose over this then a boxer who already solidified his spot in another sport. Bad Dana White LOL

He has a punchers chance but that is about it. I see it being a really quick fight. I really want to see him get pounded on the ground for 3 rounds though.

Be interesting to say the least.

Hmm... For UFC 3 5-minute rounds. 2 1-minute break in between.
Hmm... Boxing (for equal time) 5 3-minute rounds. 4 1-minute breaks in between.

Wonder if that difference will have an effect on Toney.

I expect the same thing. In fact i expect Randy to take Toney down, humiliate him a bit and then submit him.
As far as the rumour that Toney isn't training, i think it might be true.
I just watched the video preview to 118 and i Toney's training looks hust awful. Compared to the training that real MMA fighters perform, his sucks big time. It seems that he also forgot how to box tbh.
Can't wait for him to be tooled.

Wow ... I was hoping this fight could actually showcase some top level boxing in the cage before the inevitable TD and GnP win for Couture, but seems like Toney insists on making it a massacre. Dumbass.

I actually do see massive potential for top boxers in MMA, given even just a couple of years of serious wrestling and BJJ training and adaptation of techniques to factor in the full gamut of strikes and takedowns. I know sometimes people think pure sport boxing technique doesn't translate well because of the restrictions it makes use of (bobbing and weaving takes advantage of no knees for ex.), but the base skillset of power punching, reactions and many of the defenses are very much adaptable IMO.

Fatass Toney sure ain't answering those questions though.

It would have a huge effect if the fight lasts that long (probably not). Toney's not capable of learning new tricks. I expect him to look fo the ref whenever there's a clinch and if he makes it 3 minutes in to the 2nd round he'll look for a break.

I can't wait to see toney react to being kicked like a girl.

James looks like a damn slob in that video. He appears like he's too out of shape to even talk without slobbering all over himself.
