Can Hermes Franca beat Sean Sherk?
I heard the winner of the Spencer Fisher/Hermes Franca fight would get a shot at Sean Sherk. Well, Hermes stopped Spencer, so it looks like he'll get Sherk next. Does Franca have what it takes to beat Sherk?

After seeing how well Sherk was doing against GSP in the fight they aired on Unleashed last night, I'd say Franca doesn't have much of a chance outside of a lucky punch.

I don't think Franca has a chance vs Sherk. As far as the BJ title shot goes, it obviously won't be a while being that he doesn't fight Pulver til after TUF in like June

They are the ones likely to get the shot based on their popularity on TUF but neither of them deserve it.
Penn lost his last two fights and Pulver was chrushed in less than a minute by a young kid making his debut.
Franca is the one that worked his way up and deserves the shot.

What fight were you watching. GSP did whatever he wanted to do in that fight. It was total domination.  But to answer Bonnar's question. No I dont think Franca can beat Sherk. He has a slim shot at a submission, but Sherk has great submission defense. I dont really wanna see this fight. I would rather see Sherk fight Joe Daddy

What fight were you watching? Sherk had a good guard, blocked a lot of punches, and even threw some good punches himself. He also lasted until the 2nd round. It was obvious GSP was in control of the fight but if Sherk can indulge St Pierre's stand up, Franca has no chance
