I guess you guy's are forgetting this is mixed martial arts. If he can't fight on the ground then perhapes this sport isn't for him.

Horrible fight. Lay and gay yes but Herring did jack. He had a horrible guard, if he fought a half decent fighter Herring would have been choked out repeatedly. Oh well, shake it off. I don't care to see O'Brien again.

I hope they stick in some undercards, between Spencer Fisher getting railed by a horrible striker and Herring getting sat on, I'm not convinced Rashad even on his best day in the world could do enough to excite me for watching this UFN. Maybe Din Thomas and Clay Guida went at it crazy and they'll show that or SOMETHING.

Herring is a big whiner also.
What man?!?!

This isn't boxing?

AS i have said before, UFC favours WRESTLERS!!! no if no ands no buts!

Think about it, after Gracie was WHOPING ASS way back when, the new rules came out that made a man who likes to submit lose! (that is if he doesn't submit) And now wrestlers can lay and gay with these RULES!

As you just seen everytime Heath started to thorw bombs, and then poof "Irish" drops to his knees!!! wow way to abuse the rules to avoid to get hit!

GG, it's not his fault the rules favour wrestlers!

(Pride BREEDS good fighters)

For most of you, ignorance is bliss, but for me it's about the truth.

Yep. Thats the point you guys need to remember. You might not think O'Brien was all that good, but Heath is the one who couldnt even defend the takedown or even doing anything on the ground and like Beeno said a half decent Fighter would have sumbitted Heath.

Maybe down the road O'Brien will develop more skills. He is only 22 and he just beat Herring with ease really. JUst imagine if the guy was developed enough to have a good rear choke!!

You can't blame the UFC for how that fight went. I'm sure in Pride people get taken down, and guys who fought like Heath did tonight would have died with such little defense.

Yeah I hate wrestlers too... but don't blame the UFC or it's Rules for it. Blame ****ing lame Team Punishment for still training fighters "Don't worry, just lay on him all night," if you HAVE to blame somebody. But Herring gets the blame. He had what 25lbs on the guy and he couldn't even try to reverse him or perhaps SPRAWL when he came at him in slow motion!?

O'Brien did good(Showed that he could be a force, but needs some work in the sub department). It's Heath who performed horribly.

Guida vs Thomas would've been so much better. Hell, Guida picking his nose would've been better than Heath Herring's performance.

I don't know why Heath Herring is complaining. O'Brien had all those oppertunities to submit him or really ground n pound him but didn't. O'Brien's inability to end the fight only gave Herring the extra oppertunities that Herring could not take advantage of. It allowed Herring to get up numerous times but still he couldnt end it while standing nor could he prevent the predictable takedowns from O'Brien. Herring deserved to lose.
