Franca vs. Sherk
As we saw, Hermes went down on his knees and pleaded for the title shot.
Personally, I think he'd beat sherk via submission.
Opinions?

Jamie Varner took Hermes down numerous times...Sherk would take him down easily and probably pound him out, I like Hermes but Sherk is just too overpowering.

This would be a great fight......I agree that Sherk is a little too srtong for him and the only way I see Hermes submiting him is maybe catching his back.........but I am a huge Hermes fan and hope he would find a way to win.....Hermes stand up isnt too shabby so maybe thats another think to look at.......he dazed Fisher pretty good with that crazy haymaker-

I didn't catch the fights tonight, but I've never really been all that impressed with Franca, his punches are sloppy and his groundgame is boring. But judging from all the votes from people who think he could beat sherk, he must have won tonight. Must be all the same people who saw Jardine's last fight and now they think he can beat chuck...

I would like to see Hermes win too, unfortunately Sherks wrestling explosiveness, great ground control and brutal ground and pound tells me it's not going to happen.
It would be interesting if Hermes has ground control though, see Sherks submission defense.

Hermes doesn't have a boring ground game, he submitted almost everyone he fought.
Also, I just lost all my respect for Sherk when rewatching the sherk vs. st. pierre fight.

You're talking about GSP....a freak of motherf*cking nature...getting your ass beat by GSP is not the low point of your career my friend.

Franca would get destroyed. From the looks of things, Sherk seems to be the better ground man. Hermes does have those heavy hands. On hard punch and Fisher could not continue. But his striking is so slow and very sloppy. If it was better he might stand a punchers chance. Otherwise, R.I.P Hermes Franca.

I agree....sorta.....Hermes does have some sloppy hands, BUT heavy hands at that, and they are pretty damn quick too. I dont think he would be too much of a problem for Sherk to take care of. I can see a first or second round KO, but I do see it being pretty exciting while it lasted.
