Nogeuira is a (debateable) Top 10 LHW in the UFC. I think that beating a top 10 convincingly, UD or not, gets you top 10 status.

Also Harris is a middleweight. Jones is already a gargantuously lanky LHW, I doubt he could make the cut and Harris isn't a huge MW.
Yeah I kind of forgot he was a MW for a second and I realize that now. lol, but it could be a possibility if he moves up to LHW with a good record maybe still undefeated at MW

I can't really think of 10 LHWs in the UFC that should be placed above Bader. I can think of maybe 7 or 8. Bader is pretty legit, he has a really tough first round with his power striking and very strong takedowns. After that he does slow down considerably, but hopefully he can work on his cardio for this fight. Bader will at least put some fight into Jones.

like it or not, Bader should be ranked above Jones, a win over Lil Nog is much bigger than anything Jones has done, plus like it or not, Jones has a loss on his record.

Bader just beat Lil' Nog.

Jones last win was over a completely irrelevant Vladimir Matyushenko.

Bader's last win is way, way more impressive in my eyes.

If anything I am more sold on Bader than Jones.

I think it is a perfect match up and in no way is Bones deserving of a higher ranked opponent. Bones deserves a top 10, just like Bader does.

Totally agree. If were doing a top 10 list right now I would have Jones right behind Bader. I don't see how people can put Bones above Bader when Bones' best wins are againt irrelevant Vlad and irrelevant Vera. At least Bader just beat someone who many considered a contender.

Is it only me that doesn't think Jones is 'unstoppable', as someone put it earlier on in the thread ?

I'm not saying he isn't supremely talented, but when I got round to seeing the Bonnar v Jones fight a month back or so, I wasn't nearly as impressed as people were leading me to believe I would be. He looked pretty gassed and wobbly in the third I thought.

He's unstoppable as long as he's fighting cans or has-beens.

I'm really surpised by the Jones hype. Its worse than the Chael will demolish Silva hype!

i think JJs takedowns, throws and trips are some the best we have seen, i wont downplay that aspect of his game whatsoever.

Taking down Vera and Hamill with ease is something we havent really seen before, he ragdolled them and his GnP looked lethal.

His standup is the most overrated aspect of his game, Harris is the type of striker that could make him pay for that, so is Bader.

He is unortodox and throws alot of funky stuff but i feel alot of guys with better technique could possiblely catch him.

He also tends to gas a bit, he is a huge guy, i dont even know if he can stay at LHW.

The big key to me is, can anybody stop JJ TDs??? We havent seen ppl try and take down Bader so we dont know, i imagine it would be a hard proposition but then again so it taking down Vera and Hamill.

It's kinda sad to look at the diffferent levels at 205. Jones is going to flat out own Bader standing, wrestling, or grappling. I doubt it gets out of the first rd.

Bader is a good fighter, just not great. Jon Jones is great, and very, very special. I think 9 out 10 people know this.

I personally love Gerald Harris, dude is freakishly strong, but Jones would pick him apart standing.

I don´t think Jones deserves a fight against a top 5 yet.
he´s last fight was to a guy who was at his top...ten years ago?
