i remember when this fight was supposed to happen, alot of ppl around here were giving Forrest no chance.

Just wondering, if they got matched up now, in retrospect of everything that has happened, who you got??

I agree on the ring rust with Forrest aside from the fact that Nog has better stand up. One never knows with Forrest though, he has shown to pull fights out that no one expects him too. I'm really not sure who else he can fight when he comes back other than a match up with the winner of Tito and Hamill.

Warning: Prepare for some Forrest fanboyism in the following post.

Little Nog barely scraped past Jason Brilz, and then lost to Ryan Bader. Why is he still rated so highly? If Jason Brilz can effectively beat Nog, then Forrest can do it too. Nog might be better technically on the feet, but he didn't really make that count against Brilz, and didn't look particularly threatening against Bader. Forrest has an advantage in wrestling, the Jiu Jitsu to defend Nog's guard and more than decent enough striking to put up a good fight. Forrest has out-struck Rampage and Rashad, I'm confident he'd be more than capable of using his striking to set-up takedowns.

Have to go with Forrest. I let the hype train blind myself too when li'l Nog came to ufc, but shortly after I was proven that just because his brother is a succesful high level mma fighter it doesn't mean he is too. Sure he has nice boxing and decent jitsu, but majority of his wins are against total nobodies and he hasn't really performed too well in ufc.
Forrest is a proven high tier fighter with great gameplans after he stopped his brawling. I think Forrest will actually outstrike him (by kicks, not by outboxing him) and possibly even takes him down and wins by decision.

Style make fights, Nog was against two wrestlers his last two fights, that's why they were so close. Forrest is a similar style fighter to Nog, but you can say Forrest does everything a little worst ( ON PAPER ).

I'd give the better kicks to Forrest, wrestling is a wash since it probably won't go there, hands and jitz goes to Nog on paper also. That's why they fight to see who's the better fighter, but no one should count Forrest out.
