Take a look at the Lesnar v Herring knees when he had his back...vicious.

That and when he kneed Couture he lifted him off the ground.

RULES I WISHED UFC WOULD IMPLEMENT:
* Butting with the head
* Striking to the spine or the back of the head
* Striking downward using the point of the elbow
* Kicking the head of a grounded opponent
* Kneeing the head of a grounded opponent
* Stomping a grounded opponent
* Kicking to the kidney with the heel
* Spiking an opponent to the canvas on his head or neck

FIGHTERS THAT WOULD DO WELL WITH PRIDE RULES:
* Shogun
* Dan Henderson
* Rampage
* Anderson Silva
* Wanderlei Silva
* Royce Gracie
* Fedor Emelienenko
* Vitor Belfort
* Lyoto Machida
* Crocop
* Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
* BJ Penn
* Thiago Alves
* Brown Pride
* Alistair Overeem
* Renato Sobral
* Kevin Randleman
* The Fireball Kid
* Nick Diaz
* Caol Uno
* Diego Sanchez
* Demian Maia
* Chael Sonnen

FIGHTERS THAT WOULD DO HORRIBLE WITH PRIDE RULES:
* Tito Ortiz
* Forrest Griffin
* Brock Lesnar
* Urijah Faber
* Miguel Angel Torres
* Rashad Evans
* Frank Edgar
* Kenny Florian
* Dan Hardy
* Josh Koscheck
* Jon Fitch
* Mike Swick
* Bisping
* Joe Stevenson
* Clay Guida
* Patrick Cote
* Chris Leben

That is just awful. Do you know how many injuries that would cause? The fighters just want to make a living, not get themselves killed or paralyzed.

This is Cage Fighting.. this is not the Movies.. There are no invincible "Brad Pits".. these guys are real "Fighters"... they know what they are getting into..

Have you ever watched Vale Tudo? if you are queezy about those rules.. lol..

IMO.. the fighters have to hold back too much.. i see it too often.. a fighter is in a prime position to dish out maximum damage but cannot due to the rules in place..

i.e. when grappling.. no knees to the head
i.e. when in the top position.. no elbowing downwards..
i.e. when in the bottom position.. no elbowing upwards ..
i.e. when an opponent is stalling to recover by laying on his back.. an opponent should be able to stomp or kick .. i see this all the time..

etc... those are natural moves for fighters.. but are prohibited..

The reason i liked Pride and the old UFC was it was the closest to a "real" street fight simulation ..
