Luciano Azevedo took him down, Aldo wriggled his way through the ring ropes to force a ref stand up.

Aldo would get destroyed by a top wrestler ... he's another one of those lucky elite strikers like Anderson that have gotten by their whole careers without facing a guy that can take them down and neutralize their game. And unlike Anderson, we don't even know if his BJJ black belt is legit.

He's looking awesome tooling the FWs, but at LW Maynard would grind him out easily.

I hope he moves up, so all the Aldo hype stops.

The guy has beaten the best of a terrible division. His top 3 (most impressive wins), are against Faber, whose best win is against Jens Pulver, Brown, whose best win is Faber (see above), and Manny, who couldn't cut it fighting the very bottom level UFC LW fighters.

Jose looks really good against bad competition. Bad as in, when compared to the UFC LW division, it is bad. Faber/brown are good.. at FW. At LW, they get destroyed by most, and Jose is no different.

Well, to be fair, Lord Rob Emerson is probably the greatest fighter to ever exist.

Ur statement is false or else wrestlers would be dominating mma. There have been elite strikers who have walked through elite wrestlers like nothing. Such as Anderson Silva, CroCop, Lyoto Machida. Plus unlike anderson silva, aldo has shown that he potentially has great take down defence.
