It is really off topic to talk about gomi's loss to Matt Serria in a BJJ tourniment. I dont think there is anybody in there right mind that thinks that Gomi would loss an mma fight to Matt. However, I also dont think that Pride would want to see Gomi come to the UFC.

It would be a great stlye matchup to see Gomi vs Sherk or Gomi vs BJ again. I would no say Gomi would be able to destroy top UFC fighters and prove that PRIDE is that much more dominant than UFC. So I could not imagine that PRIDE would send him here on purpose.

I would be more apt to say that Gomi wants to take on some of the UFC guys and spread his popularity world wide. So he can prove that he is the best in the world, which he may or may not be.

Gomi would do really good in the UFC and shake up that division, and show who are the real top fighters in that division. It will also show if he deserves to be at the top of the rankings and might cement his place there.

gomi is a great fighter and one of the best. But I don't see him winning a fight vs Sherk or BJ. He would be the thrid best lightweight in the UFC though.

Just because you dont see him winning a fight against Sherk or BJ, it doesnt mean that he is the third best in the world. MMAWeekly has some reasoning behind putting him at #1 and Sherk at #10 in the rankings- because the best fighter Shrke beat in the last 5 years is Nick Diaz and it went to a decision. For goddness' sake Florian took him five rounds. Other than the Diaz win, he beat the 18 year old Karo Parisyan and that's about it.

yeah gomi is better than sherk. if gomi does come over, i see bj giving him alot more trouble than sherk.
