Getting Crocop over wasn't a good move then. Either he really thinks his guys can beat everyone or he's just trying to have them compete with no intention of making PRIDE look bad.

Its not all about UFC vs Pride.
Its also about entertainment. Cropcop brings a more
entertaining heavyweight division. And if crocop wins
the belt and holds it, he will be a UFC champion and not
a "Pride fighter with a UFC belt" and most likely be proud of it.
Same with any other fighter, even fedor.

i hope dana keeps true to his word saying that the ufc is a 'fan built' business...and he will continue to build the organization through the likes of the fans. He knows that's the most important...and from what he's done so far. He knows how to handle the money to get the fighters he needs right at this moment.
I still he needs to bring back the fighter entrances like Pride..that alone will draw more viewers IMO.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Although I doubt most people to remember back around early 06(because half the people here probably weren't even into MMA back then), UFC 65 was rumored to be Pride vs UFC, headlined by Chuck vs Wand, and Pride sending some fighters over. I believe they were going to send Baroni and a few others over. It didn't end up happening, but holy shit, the hype was huge.

IMO, with every PPV UFC event, Dana is getting one step closer to purchasing Pide outright. I like the idea of him bringing the best fighters over and it wouldn't bother me if he bought Pride. We could avoid what boxing is going through with 12 champions in each division. Also, Dana White is an incredible businessman, and he is a marketing genius. How else could a show on Spike (previously not a major cable network) be the most popular show for males age 18-35?
