Kinda like Lawler? Do you think if someone assaulted Chuck w/ leg kicks for a few rounds it would make it easier to controll him and nullify his striking?

You would need someone with excellent leg kicks like Shogun, because Liddell is really quick at countering and once someone goes for the leg kick he is right in their face with a right or left hook. His wide stance also makes it hard to kick but if you are fast enough with the right amount of power, yea it is possible. The best way to beat him is to out strike or to take him down, and both are extremely hard to do. I won't say impossible because nothing is impossible but they are hard to do.

yeah i dont know how effective leg kicks would be with chuck being the amazing counter guy he is. you can kick, but when you're in mid kick, his right hook is coming straight for your chin.

Leg kicks are not going to affect Liddell's game. A world class wrestler with excellent takedowns and strength like a bear can beat Chuck.

Jeremoy Horn did really well when he used leg kicks in his fight with Chuck. Chuck just took them and didn't defend or counter them. Its too bad Horn waited until he had already taken a major beating before using them.

Vernon White was also doing well with leg and body kicks against Chuck as well. But he, like Horn, waited until he had already taken a lot of punishement.

They both also made the mistake of trying to box with Chuck at the begining.

I think leg kicks would be a good move against Liddell. I think someone like Cro Cop could definitely challenge him and perhaps take the belt. I know Crop cop is in as a HW but there is no reason he cant drop down and throw a few kicks towards Liddells way.

i think it'd actually work very well if you kept aiming for his leg since he doesnt seem to defend leg kicks much then when you feel he is significantly damaged you go for a takedown and he would hve alot of trouble sprawling with damaged legs ofcourse you'd have to do that without getting KTFO.....

IMO cro cop wouldnt really need to do that since he could out strike chuck anyway....
