Chris Lytle

Seriously, why does this guy get a shot at hughes? Hes 2-5 in the ufc, couldnt even beat matt serra, and got KO'ed by joe riggs who matt hughes decimated. Yeah hes the TUF runner up blah blah but you dont see cote fighting franklin. Yes it was a split decision but if you cant win against Serra without a doubt, hughes is way out of your leage. If lytle beats hughes it would be one of the biggest upsets in ufc history. I hope hughes beats him just so we can see him leave the ufc and go exclusivly to boxing, where he actually does well.

There just giving Hughes a can to fight. I think this fight basically is becuase of GSP getting hurt. IF GSP would have fought Serra on UFC 67,then maybe Hughes would have been next up. Since the timeframe is alot further out there, they had to get Matt a warmup match.

its a confidence booster. this is obviously set up for hughes to get a quick rematch with GSP. if they put him up against a great fighter, the rematch would be in jeapordy. a can for hughes is a good idea for the ufc, because it will pay off when hughes vs gsp 3 takes place.

Yea, that Riggs vs Lytle fight was actually pretty even until the elbow.

Lytle's a solid fighter, who is tough to finish.

This fight also has all the ingredients of a big upset for Lytle. He's a professional boxer with solid standup, and although he won't be able to stop a Matt Hughes takedown, the fight could very well end on the feet in Lytle's favor, should Hughes get overconfident in his stand-up and decide to trade blows with him.

Although it's not considered a "big" fight, I'm looking forward to this fight as much as any other fight on the card.

Well, I personally think Hughes will pull out the victory but I would'nt sell Lytle short either.

You can't have everything. Where would you put it?
