Will Matt Serra make the same mistake?

I think the pressure is going to be on Serra big time after Lutter failed to make weight! The UFC will probably check in on him to make sure he is doing everything right! But he really doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would f"k up like Lutter did! What are your thoughts!

You forget that this isn't just some brutal sport where everyones out to kill each other. Its much more like a game of physical chess.-looney liam

No, because Serra's a natural lightweight. He's going up in weight instead of coming down.

He says it's very hard for him to fight at lightweight. In the blog he was doing during TUF4, he said he could fight lightweight but he would walk around looking like Golum from Lord of the Rings.

Don't hate on Lutter. Serra will make weight because he walks around @ 170. Lutter has to plan out 6 weeks of cutting down and 2 days of starving to get to 185. And if he messes up anywhere along the way, it's all over. Heck, sometimes you just can't be that precise.

My Top 5

(0. Fedor)
1. Cro Cop
2. GSP
3. Mauricio RuA
4. Quinton Jackson
5. BJ Penn

A. it doesnt really matter because serra is losing no matter what.
B. i think he lives naturally below the WW limit of 170, so he'll just put on weight prior to the fight.
C. serra is a veteran, knows what he's doing, and hasnt had trouble with this before.

he'll be fine. until the fight starts of course.
