Lay off of Dana, he's just promoting his biz, as he should be.

No, he's supposed to not mention it. There is a huge difference. You respect someone for promoting properly and you disrespect them for promoting through trash talk. What he said was flat out wrong.

My Top 5

(0. Fedor)
1. Cro Cop
2. GSP
3. Mauricio RuA
4. Quinton Jackson
5. BJ Penn

now, i'm a huge CC fan, but how has he surpassed Fedor if he hasn't beaten Fedor? don't you have to...i don't know... beat someone to surpass them???

Dana, you're doing good things, but keep your ignorant mouth shut! stop playing politics with PRIDE and work to bring the sport to the forefront.

whiskey, racism, money, grease, twinkie's, guns.....yep lol thats about it

sorry guys, but that is perfectly fine. he says he MAY, read MAY, have passed fedor. which is true. they haven't fought again, maybe he has. probably not, but maybe. he is perfectly right to say that. he is promoting his fighter and it is the truth.
I think fedor would win a rematch, but it is absolutely fine to say this, and anyone who is mad at a guy who says he "might" be better is overeacting.

whoa guys no need to take his statement personally, besides hes not even quoted sayin that. as far as we know he was saying that it is a possibilty that if they got in the ring again that CC might be capable. he said CC MAY have surpassed fedor, you guys are acting like he flat out said CC would ktfo fedor. dont get me wrong, i would never think about putin money on CC against fedor, but i dont think a decision is out of the question either. no respect for dana lost here, let the guy make his money.

EDIT: ah khaldun beat me to pointing out the 'MAY' part

Dana says it here
reviewjournal.com -- Sports - 'CroCop' is big favorite in UFC debut

What they'll see, he said, is one of the fiercest punchers and kickers the sport has known. Filipovic is generally regarded as the world's No. 2 heavyweight behind Fedor Emialenenko, though White said he thinks Filipovic may have surpassed the Russian.

I'm just speculating, obviously, but... Along with giving Mirko props Dana might be subtly trying to draw out Fedor too. You know at this rate it won't be long before he's doing everything in his power to land Fedor in the UFC (if he isn't already). If he can get Fedor thinking about these types of comments (which he probably can't knowing Fedor's cold and calculating demeanor) without disrespecting him then it might just push him over the edge into signing with the UFC at some point to prove he's the best to the US market that might not know any better than what Dana has to say. Just like how Bill Parcells usually knew how to needle his players and call them out to perform better (T.O. excluded), Dana likely knows what he is doing here...

Just my 2 cents...
