Everyone, I've added a list to the original post to choose from.

Please pick the four fighters you think deserve it most!

Thanks!

Liddell: Most dominant LHW in the UFC and pretty much the face of the UFC to a lot of people

Hughes: Was one of the UFC's biggest attractions and one of the greatest WW fighters of all time

GSP: Has been a big attraction for a long time and is a big part of Canada's love for UFC which has become very important for them

Griffin: His fight with Bonnar has to be considered the single most important event in the UFC's history

Absolutely +1.
I'd love to swap one for Franklin or Couture but they're pretty much the right picks.

Dana White for everything he's done.
Ken Shamrock for being the most recognizable face in MMA for a long time. His cross over into pro wrestling helped gain exposure of this sport (although callled cage fighting).
Chuck Liddell for fighting though the dark ages and becoming the sport's first mega star.
Forrest Griffin for making a little cable show finale turn into the most pivotal MMA event ever.

Other fighters and why they didn't get my pick:
Randy Couture; he was next in line, this guy has done a lot.
Matt Hughes: I hate you. I'm really happy you got KO'd in 21 seconds. I also hate Penn, so making me cheer for him means a lot.
Gracie evolved the sport but ask any casual fan and you'll get a lot of puzzled looks on who this dude was.
GSP: not there yet, needs to do something huge to add to his legacy... beating A Silva
Anderson: is not a good posterboy for the UFC. Seems like he fights for himself rather the fans.

To those who mentioned Lesnar... shame on you. If he hadn't of been a professional wrestler, he would have been less hyped than Carwin.

Also, if you have another suggestion besides a fighter on my list, feel free to explain your case. Loving the discussion so far.

Dana, Chuck, GSP, Royce

are my picks.

Dana, the owner, Royce the founder, Chuck the first real favourite. GSP the current favourite.

would like to put Tito in there but his head is way to big to fit & since he's kind of a douche anyway I left him out. But he would have been my number 5 pick and Randy my number 6.

If it was the Rusmore of MMA I would put: Wandy, Fedor, Chuck, and GSP.
I would also like to put Wandy in nomination for the UFC Rushmore even tho he's more of a pride legend. But if Rampage can be nominated then i def. Think Wandy should.

In all seriousness, leaving out Randy makes no sense. Anybody watching the UFC back at 13 when he hit the scene. It was amazing. MMA wrestling was born via Randy fecking Couture. He was light years ahead of everybody at the time. Think about that. UFC13 right up till UFC123 and still there. He has featured throughout. Randy should be the first name on the list.

That being said, I am asking the MMA forum community to pick 4 UFC fighters from any era that deserve to be on "Mt. UFC" and why.

I'll take a snapshot and post it here when I'm done.

EDIT:
I've pretty much gathered the jist of who should be considered for my drawing. As one kind poster suggested, I am leaving the nominations open for the Thanksgiving Holidays and they will close when I begin the project afterwards. The nominations are as follows--

Randy Couture
Royce Gracie
Dan Severn
Chuck Liddell
Ken Shamrock
Matt Hughes
Georges St. Pierre
Brock Lesnar
Tito Ortiz
Mark Coleman
Forrest Griffin
Quinton Jackson
BJ Penn
Sean Sherk
Dana White

Thanks to all who participate!
Where's Anderson Silva on this list. if any part of the criteria is about fighting than there's no way you can leave him out. If this more about the history of UFC than that's another story (shamrock, royce, kimo, tank/severn/kimo).
I suspect you want to compile your list based on the best fighters in the history of the UFC. No way you can justify not including AS.

I'm not just talking about great fighters, I'm talking about fighters that you think of when you think "UFC". In hindsight, Anderson hasn't done alot for the sport. He's not a huge draw, and despite being a dominant champion, the casual fan has no idea who he is. Anderson has made very little impact on the UFC as opposed to guys like Randy, Chuck, Hughes, etc.
