Mt. Rushmore- UFC Style
Okay, so for my final in one of my classes I have to sketch a particularly large drawing that will be judged on creativity, symbolism, and quality.
With Machida/Rampage still being on my mind, I thought of something--
"Why not draw a UFC version of Mt. Rushmore?"
That being said, I am asking the MMA forum community to pick 4 UFC fighters from any era that deserve to be on "Mt. UFC" and why.
I'll take a snapshot and post it here when I'm done.
EDIT:
I've pretty much gathered the jist of who should be considered for my drawing. As one kind poster suggested, I am leaving the nominations open for the Thanksgiving Holidays and they will close when I begin the project afterwards. The nominations are as follows--
Randy Couture
Royce Gracie
Dan Severn
Chuck Liddell
Ken Shamrock
Matt Hughes
Georges St. Pierre
Brock Lesnar
Anderson Silva
Tito Ortiz
Rich Franklin
Stephan Bonnar
Mark Coleman
Forrest Griffin
Quinton Jackson
BJ Penn
Sean Sherk
Dana White
Thanks to all who participate!

You could go with the first real stars of the UFC in Franklin, Liddell, Hughes, and Tito. Those dudes are like the four fathers, the guys that reallys started paving the way for the fighters of the future. The set the example and became the first real recognizable dudes in mma

I can't wait to see the outcome! But if I were doing it I would have a hard time deciding between these two scenarios:
All time: Couture, Liddell, Hughes, Penn, Silva
Modern: Cain, Shogun, GSP, Edgar, Aldo
I know I cheated and picked five, and still left out Dana/Fertittas/Gracie/Ortiz/Shamrock from all time. And Fitch could be Lincoln if you were going for a look alike type thing.

Oh wow what a fun project to do, please post it when your done, would love to see the end result.
1. I'd say Royce Gracie because he was the first and his family started it all!
2. Hughes because he was the most dominant champion and represents the change from old school mma to new school... And I think his big chin looks like it was made from a giant boulder.
3. Randy because he was the first two division champ and is a legend of the sport and everyone loves him and he is basically the face of the sport... and is still going... hopefully.
4. And finally Chuck because he was the face of the mainstream transformation of the UFC... Oh and coz he beat the snot out of a lot of people for a long time.
They are all classics and would represent both the project and the sport perfectly, and they all have very distinct faces that would look pretty cool.

George Washington - founder of the nation, I think this one is a little easy you can go with Shamrock, Frye, Coleman, Severn or even Hughes or Penn but in the end Royce Gracie stands out as the man who founded this sport.
Thomas Jefferson - the man who expanded the shaped the sport this one is a bit tricky I could see putting Liddell or Penn here but to me they are more Adams and Madison, Randy Couture is the Thomas Jefferson of the sport.
Abraham Lincoln - divisive and hated in his time always surrounded by controversy but yet had a huge impact on our nation. I think I would go off the books and pick Brock Lesnar for this one.
Teddy Roosevelt - a beloved figure and natural leader who became almost folk like I'd say that sounds like the young Georges St-Pierre

I think for something like this you need to have a nomination thread and in that thread let it go for like 10 days or something and then pick the top 10 most nominated. Then you go to round two and have people pick from the top 10 and have it go down to like 6. And then finally have them pick 4 from the top 6.

Chuck and Hughes are no brainers, then you can pick any two from: Randy, Royce Gracie, Shamrock, BJ Penn, Fedor, Dan Severn etc...
