Alright gentlemen(and the ocassional lady oot there), heres the deal. UFCfan33 aka Scott and a bunch of our friends is at my house watching it, and I am the comcast subscriber, and right now, pissed is an understatement to what I am. I have HDTV and an HDbox, and was watching HD earlier today and it worked fine, no problem. So tonite, I order the broadcast so we dont miss any fights because I have had problems with them before. So I look through the guide and see that no where does it say that it is offered in HD.
So I decide to call comcast, and of course wait the obligatory 15 minutes on hold before I talk to a "representative." I quote this name because the lady I spoke too was extremely rude to me, curt and essentially shoved me off of the phone before I could get her name again and left me quite pissed off. So I call back, and again wait the obligatory 15 minutes only to be hung up on before I even get to talk to somebody, which has happened before, but given the situation and the amount of alcohol I have already had, just lit me off, but I still managed to calm myself before the next "representative."
After another 10 minutes, I finally get to talk to "David" in West Virginia, and after a song and dance and him telling me nothing that I didn't already know, I finally get a supervisor. Here is where it really gets complicated. So I talk to a supervisor "Karnell", who explains to me that it is not comcasts fault that they are only a third party and they do not recieve the broadcast from HBO(apparently the broadcast company for the UFC) and for some reason do not broadcast it "in our area." After saying I don't understand why/how that can be so, he repeats himself, and I stop him, only to have him repeat it slower and louder, attempting, imo to make me feel like a retard. Now not much pisses me off as much as this does, and I interrupt him to tell him. This he obviously does not like and says there isn't anything they can do for me and that I need to take it up with HBO, and ushers me off the phone, a little bit nicer than the last lady.
Now this may not seem like a big deal to some of y'all, but I personally love HD, and was awaiting the day UFC is broadcast in HD, and absolutely LOVE sports in HD. I am a huge hockey fanatic and the experience is better imho. I pay almost $200 a month for comcast service including the internet service. I have been a customer of comcast for as long as I have been paying for TV service, and am quite frustrated at this point. I think I'm gonna call HBO when they open on monday, and see if comcast was ****ing me around. Usually at least comcast will offer some sort of free programming, Im pretty disappointed, and hope that the Next UFC broadcast I will be able to watch in HD.
