He's in a tough position and it's one of the reasons I've always thought that if you've already lost to the champ it might be a good idea to prolong the rematch as long as possible. Losing twice really throws you into limbo like we've seen with Rich Franklin at MW or BJ Penn at LW.

Honestly, I think he's in the perfect weight class so he might as well just keep trying for exciting fights and collecting big paychecks. He's a top notch fighter and there are plenty of guys who will never hold the belt but that are fan draws. Chris Lytle, Dan Hardy, and Stephan Bonnar are names that jump right to mind. But yeah, he is stuck in an awkward spot. Oh well!

I like the idea of Kos vs Alves 2, but winner Condit/Lytle sounds even better imo.

Of course it will never be so satisfing then winning the belt from GSP.. but goes for every WW in the UFC then.

He is 33 now already and he can not cut down to LW in my opinion.
Yep, agreed with all of that B man.

Kos stays at welter, GSP moves to middle after beating Shields and bulks whlie Silva takes on Okami (bit of a boring one that one).

Kos, Alvez, Shields and Fitch will have to battle it out for the WW throne (which will be interesting if one of Kos or Fitch holds it, what the other one does.....?). Wouldn't that be frustrating, you wait for GSP to leave and then your camp mate holds it so your stuck in the same position......

2 options.

1. stay at WW fight Shields then fight Fitch providing he wins against Penn. Then the next challenger i see is Diego Sanchez , if he beats Kampmann then thats 2 legit wins at WW and 1 more a title shot is in order. Thats 3 fights right there to tie GSP up for a 18 months.

2. Move to MW , have a tune up fight then face Silva in a mega fight , if he wins the obviously defend the belt if not work way back up at MW.

Bisping Fan extraordinaire

Velasquez will be back
